Fancy Fruit Pizza
SUBMITTED BY:
Suzanne Gruenbacher
"Sugar cookie dough makes a fun foundation for this fantastic fruit pizza. The tender crust complements the sweetened cream cheese and colorful 'toppings'. After you serve up the last slice, be prepared to make another pizza."

This is one of my all-time favorite desserts (high praise from a card-carrying chocoholic). I always use strawberries, bananas, kiwi, peaches, and blueberries. The key is to get as many contrasting colors as possible. Also, I have never used any kind of glaze on this as so many of the recipes suggest. If you squeeze a lemon over the entire pie, the fruits won't brown. This will enable you to put it in the refrigerator overnight, which makes all of the flavors meld. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I have made this for years and everyone loves it! The secret is to buy a roll of sugar cookie dough--cuts down a bunch on time. Use whatever fruits are in season. Strawberries, Kiwi and mandarin oranges are always a must for us. Their contrasting colors bring this alive. I've recently started arranging the fruit for theme parties--like football teams or NASCAR! Just have fun with it!

I've made this many times over the years, my mom passed down the recipe. What I like is that I can use different fruits in it. I've used cherry pie filling, bananas, blueberries, raspberry, even white grapes. doesnt matter what you put on it, its awesome! I'm not a fan of orange marmalade, but it all mixes in nicely.

This was very good although I thought the refrigerated dough was a little too sweet. I forgot to buy the orange marmalade so I left it off and it was great without it. It received a lot of compliments from my guests.

This is a great recipe to do with kids. I took it a potluck and everyone raved about it, fresh fruit is best but you can use canned just remember to drain it well.
