This is a pretty good bread. It took way more than three hours to make though.

This was the first time I made bread and it turned out great. The instructions for kneeding were not that great and if you try to scale it in half I found that it was too dry and I had to add another cup of water. My picky 5 yr old practically ate a half loaf so that is saying something about the taste. I think that I will try honey next time and maybe just a pinch more salt. All in all a very good recipe.

Our household staple bread! My family loves it. You won't be disappointed. Use bread flour or high gluton flour.

This is a wonderful bread recipe. I use my Bosch to mix it up and it is done in a snap! I also add grains to give the bread a little more texture and extra white sugar to sweeten it a little more.

I have made this recipe many times over the last 6 months and it is just as the name says fabulous. My husband is very picky and he loves this bread. I take it to potluck at church and they all rave about it as well. I do add more oatmeal and wheat flour and less white flour. I prefer to use honey instead of sugar. Any little changes that you make to it will turn out perfectly. There is no way to mess the recipe up. It is absolutly Fabulous!!!

The Best..Easy and great results..I did add 1/2 Cup Wheat Gluten to the dry ingredients. I found the wheat gluten on the grocery shelf near the whole wheat flour. My 6 qt. Professional Kitchenade mixer handled this amount of dough but I recommend using the All Recipes feature that allows you to reduce the amount of servings to 48 for a smaller mixer.

This was great, but I was confused about the lack of kneading. My bread did fall, so I am going to retry it with kneading this time. Otherwise it was very yummy! I am looking for a recipe to make all of our bread, and I may have found it!

The bread turned out perfect. I did not have quick oats so I used regular oats instead; otherwise, I followed the recipe exactly. The bread is tasty, chewy and soft. For the people who said this recipe didn't make six loaves, I had no problems getting the full amount. Just be careful not to punch the dough down too much after the first rising. This will be my standard bread recipe from now on.

it tastes ok and that's about it. it's not pretty, it falls flat not matter what, and it falls apart when you try to cut it. i've been trying alot of new bread recipes and I didn't care for this.

This bread is wonderful! I had to sneak a slice before the loaves had finished cooling. It was still fluffy, yet dense, with a nice flavour. I didn't have any bread flour, or gluten, so I upped the yeast and it still turned out great. This was my first time baking a yeast bread - reading the other glowing reviews gave me the courage to try it. I followed the recipe as given, using all-purpose flour throughout, and added a cup of bran. Fabulous!

Wow, wow, wow! I LOVE this bread! My new favorite that I will be making all the time. I did sub a cup of the flour for ground flax and added some honey for taste. It did not last long, lol!! It's dense and great for sandwiches and it stayed moist all week. The only thing is it only made 4 loaves but it was worth it!! Maybe I can try to get another loaf out if it next time.

Excellent bread. I was confused by the lack of kneading in the instructions. My dough came out very sticky and I kneaded in a bit more flour to one loaf to make it a little less sticky and even more flour to another for a more traditional bread like feel. I will probably knead next to the more bread like feel. I think the very sticky dough may be why others have problems with "falling" and bread that falls apart. However both versions tasted great!!

Very tasty! I added 3 cups of whole wheat flour and 9 cups of bread flour and used rapid rise yeast and it still comes out nice and airy (only makes 5 loaves though). You just can't beat fresh baked bread for your family!

This was a really nice, easy recipe. I substituted maple syrup for the sugar, but other than that, followed exactly. The end product was a little dense, not quite as airy as I was hoping - but I may not have let the dough rise enough before popping it into the oven (it's really cold in my house and I have to double or even triple typical rising times). I will make this again.

This recipe was WONDERFUL! I had baked these a few days before we had a power outage...so all the neighbors came over and they tried it and were amazed. One neighbor wouldn't even eat it with jam because he just wanted the taste of the bread. I've made it twice, once forgetting the salt and another accidentally putting in white instead of brown sugar. Both times it was fantastic. This one's going in my recipe box.
