I followed the recipe exactly. My bread did not rise very well. It did not have much of a flavor except butter. It's moist, but not very good. Thanks for sharing, though.

This is the best banana nut bread I have ever had. The flavor is fantastic. The only "oops" I have made is that I let the butter get too liquified when I was trying to soften it in the microwave. The difference that made in the recipe was incredible. Just softened butter works just fine.

I just made this and it is really good. I added a little extra banana. It did sink in the middle but that could be my fault. It didn't sink until I pulled it out to check it. When it shook it collapsed. I did use pecans instead of walnuts but that is just my preference. Be sure and watch it while you are cooking it I only left it in for about 40 to 45 minutes and it was already done.

My husband and children love Banana Nut Bread so I make it at least monthly. I have never liked banana nut bread until I tried this recipe. Now we are all happy when I make the recipe. It is soooooo good!

This recipe turned out great. I did make a couple of changes. I used whole wheat flour instead of all purpose and did a 3:1 ratio of brown and white sugar. These gave the bread a nice darker color. I also added a teaspoon of vanilla extract to the wet ingredients and 3/4 cup of oatmeal to the dry mix. I reduced the amount of baking soda to just 1 teaspoon because I like a slightly denser bread. That is just personal preference. I baked the loaves only about 50-55 minutes, but that is something that you have to gauge yourself. I would start checking after 45 minutes so that you don't overbake it. It turned out great. The oats and the nuts gave it a nice crunchiness. This was my first time making banana nut bread. I will definitely use this recipe again.

This was awesome! I did make a few changes and substitutions, but I think it would have been great as written as well. My changes were: Whole Grain wheat-free flour blend substituted for the AP flour. I make my own flour blend out of several different WG flours plus xanthan gum. It works in recipes about like Whole Wheat flour would. I find that when using whole grain or whole wheat flours, you need to increase the rising agents. So I used 6 eggs instead of 4 and 3t soda instead of 2. I was out of nuts in the house, so I used steel cut oats and only added 1/2 cup, because I wasn't sure how they would do. It was wonderful! I probably over did it with the eggs and soda, but it rose so much, it was so soft and fluffy. Just perfect! this is exactly how I'll make it next time!

This bread is delicious! I used whole wheat pastry flour and splenda instead of sugar and the taste was just as good as the sugar version, but healthier:D Thanks!!

This is a great tasting bread. It was a big hit the first time I fixed it for a fund raiser. It did fall some in the middle, but the taste was amazing.

I make this recipe often but do change a few things to make it the best recipe ever. I add 4 bananas instead of just the one cup. I also add 1 cup of white chocoalte chips and 1 cup of milk chocolate chips. It never lasts long in this house as people stop by to pick some up when they know I have baked it.
