I've made this sauce 15 times, but I like the flavor better when it's made with sugar.

This is really good pizza sauce, I will definitely be using it again in the near future. The only change that I made was to use 1/2 of the honey that was called for and it was still plenty sweet for us.

Its not a bad sauce, but a bit heavy on the Parmesan and Honey. If you tend to like a more tangy, acidic tomato-tasting sauce (like I do), the parmesan mellows out the flavor too much and the honey makes it a bit too sweet. I'll try it again with those ingredients reduced next time.

Okay all the 1/4 of this and that...just use Italian Seasoning. I didn't have grated parmesan on hand so I used 1 Tbsp of the shaker parmesan. I followed advice of others and halved the honey, it was a perfect sweet but not too...We LOVE this sauce and will NEVER BUY pizza sauce again!!! UPDATE, made again but with tomato sauce and omitted the water...STILL AWESOME!

This is fabulous!! I was a little uncertain about the honey, but I went with it and was surprised by how good it made the sauce. It's a little sweet, but has a kick to it. Very good and was a big hit with the family.

Sorry, but way too sweet and overspiced. I just wanted a nice normal pizza sauce, not some wacky creation that my teen would have come up with. Should have known from the ingredient list, but the reviews were so high. Pass on this one.

I was pleasantly suprised when I made this sauce last night. It was thick and tasty and since we reduced the sweet and hot spices it had just a hint of kick to it. It went great with our toppings and actually tasted alot like the sauce I love at my parents favorite pizza place which moved very far away. I am so glad to have this recipe and will make it again and again!

My husband and I love this sauce. We leave out the anchovy paste just because it is something I don't normally have on hand. We think this sauce makes our homemade pizza great!!

Excellent! I will definitely be making this again... still without the anchovy business and I would cut back on the honey, for sure. It is INSANELY sweet for me (but then again, so is root beer)... a teaspoon of honey would probably do it. Very quick (especially when waiting for the pizza dough to rise anyway) and easy!

Well, the first time we made this, we were out of honey, so we substituted brown sugar. We also did not have anchovy paste..despite these changes, this was WONDERFUL sauce! We used a can of plum tomatoes, which added to the sweetness of the sauce. The pepper gave it a nice burst of heat, but didn't overpower it. We made enough to have extra and used it as a dipping sauce for garlic bread when we had company. It was a huge hit! Thanks so much for the recipe!

Super easy and great flavor makes for a 5 star rating. Only change I'll make next time is to reduce the amount of honey as it was just a touch too sweet. Thank you for posting this recipe!

I made a pizza from scratch for the first time last night, I'm so proud of myself! :) This sauce was GREAT, the honey adds the hint of sweetness and the red pepper and cayenne add the extra kick. Followed the recipe exactly as written and plan on taking other reviewers advise on making a bunch of the seasoning to have on hand.
