This flavorful sauce was a hit! Like some others, I substituted about a teaspoon of sugar instead of the honey and used one clove pressed garlic instead of minced from a bottle. I lightly browned the garlic and kept the burner on low while mixing in the ingredients. Also, I left the red pepper flakes for the side. For two pizzas we doubled the recipe and had about 1 c of dipping sauce leftover. I would recommend this sauce to anyone looking for a reliable pizza sauce. Bravo!

This sauce is VERY sweet - not tangy like traditional pizza sauces. My husband, who loves pizza, and I couldn't even finish a slice of it.

I halved the honey and left out the cayenne as suggested. If left cold it's still rather sweet. But if you cook it, some of the sweetness seems to go away and the heat of the pepper takes over. I liked it, but it was still too spicy for my kids. I'll halve the red pepper flakes next time.

I was looking for an easy pizza sauce, that didn't need simmering all day. This was it, quick and good. Thanks for sharing.

Fantastic sauce, good on thin pizza base spread out with the back of a spoon, simply delicious and leftovers can be used to add into spaghetti bolognaise!!

This has been a great sauce! I make it as is (double to freeze extras) and leave out the anchovy paste and use 1 Tbl of honey. I use it with Jay's Signature Pizza Crust from AR also. SO good!

Awesome awesome awesome. I wouldn't change a thing about this recipe. I find it funny that other reviewers find it too spicy. I am very sensitive to spicy food, and have no problem with this sauce. I didn't use anchovy paste, nor marjoram. I doubled the oregano since I didn't use the marjoram (wouldn't even know where to look for this spice). This is enough to make 3-4 medium size pizza's, depending on how much sauce you like. This is my new go-to pizza sauce recipe. Delish!

Oooh it's really good and so easy... I didn't quite believe I didn't have to cook it - but it tasted so good. I used Italian mixed herbs, and left out the spice and anchovy as my little girl is so fussy and she loved it! She never eats pizza usually. Will try it with anchovy next time.

Love it!! Easily adaptable to taste, although I love it the way it is, for my family the three kinds of pepper are way too much. I make two batches, one for them minus all pepper and still add honey, it is not too sweet and one batch for me as it is written. I also have left out the cheese on more than one occasion, it is perfectly fine without. For me I think the anchovy paste is a must, it adds a depth of flavor without you ever knowing it is anchovy paste.

I doubled the recipe and took others advice and used only 1/8t red pepper flakes omitted the other cayenne completely and also omitted the anchovies (we don't like them at all) and used only 1T honey. Everything else was doubled and mixed well in a large bowl. Then poured into a glass jar to combine all the flavors and let it sit overnight. It filled a 240z jar nearly all the way! Today I made my first ever pizza from this site: Jays Signature pizza crust! YUM, Yum, Yum! We loved it and we made 2 sm-med size pizzas today and we still have about 1/3 to 1/2 jar of this pizza sauce left! Wow, super easy to make and it was perfect tasting! My picky husband which considers himself a pizza expert says this was awesome and he would take this sauce and the pizza I made from this site over any restaurant one, yahoo! (Except Uno's, lol)

If I could give it more stars I would. Skipped the anchovy paste and decreased the honey. I loved it and my husband thought it was the "best pizza sauce he's ever had" which says a lot. We'll NEVER use store bought again. Ever.

This is good but needs some tweaking. I decreased the Parmesan to 1 tablespoon, decreased the honey to 3/4 teaspoon, and decreased the cayenne pepper to 1/16 teaspoon. I replaced the anchovy paste with 1/4 teaspoon of salt because I'm a vegetarian. I really like spicy food but even with the decreased cayenne pepper, this would probably be too spicy for kids and others who can't handle the heat.
