This is so good, that from the first night I used it I immediately added hand-made pizza to our weekly meal plan. The flavor is amazing! Definitely not your run-of-the-mill pizza sauce.

Very good sauce if you use quality ingredients. I made 2 batches, one with name brand tomato paste and the other with a store brand. Name brand was excellent, Store brand was very bitter. As always, I guess you get what you pay for!

Excellent... This sauce made the dough and toppings not even matter.

The best ever sauce I have tasted on a pizza, This will be our family favourite for a long time. The kids absolutely loved it including my 2 year old. I omitted the marjoram, anchovy, red pepper flakes and cayenne pepper. I also used 1 tsp of honey and instead of tomato paste I used tomato puree and opted for a finely diced onion.

This sauce is excellent! I followed this recipe almost to the T; I omitted the anchovy paste (I did not have on hand) and reduced the amount of cayenne and red pepper by half...just because I know that as the sauce would sit, it might get too hot for my taste. Not only is the recipe tasty, it's easy. It's almost as easy opening a jar of sauce from my cupboard. A good thing about this recipe is that you can make it as sweet or as spicy as you want. I don't think that the honey was too much, but, I do prefer a sweeter sauce. Also, if you like to make your pizza dough from scratch, this recipe is good because it gives you a half hour to make it while your sauce ingredients marry. If you're looking for a easy, tasty pizza sauce, this is definitely it!

This is now my official pizza sauce. I used this with another recipe from the site, Jay's Signature Pizza Crust, and they work well together. I followed the recipe exactly even searching out anchovy paste in the grocery store. I wouldn't change a thing. I got more sauce than I needed for one pizza, but probably not enough for two. Although I don't like a whole lot of sauce. This was great! Thank you.

I used 15 oz tomato sauce instead of paste (did not add the water), omitted the marjoram, honey and anchovy paste (didn't have and didn't want to buy any) and this recipe was still the best I've tried!

This is definitely going to be the only pizza sauce I'll ever use. The only thing I did different was not use as much red pepper and red pepper flakes, because we don't like very spicy food, but otherwise wouldn't change a thing. Thanks Angie!

This was so sweet, it didn't even taste like pizza sauce. Ruined my usually reliable pizza - I'm going back to the stuff in a jar. MUCH better.

I didn't like this at all. Way too much garlic and I couldn't get it sweet enough. My husband liked it though so he got to eat the whole pizza.

This was GREAT!! I didn't have any honey, so I just used a little sugar. We didn't use the anchovy paste and added just a touch more of the paprika and red pepper flakes because we like the extra kick!

I have made this sauce a couple of times now. It is very easy and it smells delicious. I like how it is sweetened with honey instead of suger, but it is a little too sweet. I may only use half the honey next time.

LOVE IT! So easy, so simple, yet so yummy! I make as is, w/out the optional anchovy paste, and w/out marjoram (just don't have it in our spice cabinet). I will never buy pizza sauce again!

This will work in a pinch, but it's far from five stars! Much too sweet, and still retained that tinny taste from the tomato paste.

Love this sauce! Alot of flavor, I only used about 1/2 tsp honey so it wasn't very sweet. I used it with Jay's Signature Pizza Crust and it was the best pizza I've made at home.
