I'm only rating this a 4 star right now since I've not tried any others. But I found this one and it's amazing even before we start tweaking it. We found it a little too sweet, but think that might have been because we used Contadina tomato sauce. We're trying it with Hunts tonight to see if it's mellower on the sweet. Then to tweaking!

Fantastic recipe! I 4x the recipe and freeze the extra for quick fixing in 2 pizza increments. I use less honey and skip the anchovy paste. Has a nice little kick.

This sauce is easy and delicious. I like to measure things out, but I found I can guesstimate with the amount of seasoning and still get a great result! I usually don't have every single ingredient, so I use "Italian Seasoning" and omit the anchovy paste. Still scrumptious every time. I pair this with "Jay's Signature Pizza Crust" also found on allrecipes.com

I omitted the honey and anchovy paste because I didn't have any. The overall result was good. I will try again with some modifications to suit our tastes. Next time I might use tomato sauce vs. the paste and water as another reviewer mentioned.

I've made this many times, but tonight I made it using 12 fl oz of tomato sauce, and no paste or water. It was phenomenal. The overall result was actually better than the local pizzeria! Tomato sauce has less intense flavour than paste, which balances out the flavours of the crust and mozzarella. I kept the rest the same, and it was divine.

I really can't believe how easy this was to make. It was REALLY good, a nice kick to it with the red peeper flakes. The only thing I omitted was the anchovy paste. Next time I make this I will double it and freeze in single-serving portions for when we make pizzas. GREAT recipe! Oh, this does make plenty...I used it to top two pizzas and we still have some left over :)

Best pizza sauce I've ever had! Omitted the anchovy paste since I'm a veggie and thought it was perfect for me. Thanks for sharing!

Exquisite!!!I was looking for a Fajita recipe to satisfy a craving and stumbled across this. Two things I changed: added only 1 Tbs of honey instead of 2 thinking it would be too sweet for our taste and I did not add the Anchovies. I made the pizza's on whole wheat pita's; using up all 6 and still had sauce left over :) My man LOVED them!!! For toppings I used, mushrooms, cajun chicken (purchased a ready roasted chicken shredded the breast and seasoned with Cajun), onion, red peppers, spinach and goat cheese. Amazing, Thanks Angie :)

This is very good! No more store bought sauce for us! I made this exactly as directed except for the anchovies--which I'm sure would have been even better, but it just wasn't worth the trip to the store. I'll definitely get some for the next batch, though. Thanks!

This was delicious. I made a few modifications and I think that next time I will try it with just 1 Tbsp. honey. I used 1/2 tsp. garlic powder because I was feeling lazy and didn't want to mince the fresh. I added an extra 1/8 tsp. basil and oregano. (I also put fresh basil on the pizza) I didn't have anchovy paste. Left out the red pepper flakes and salt. I will save this as my standard pizza sauce!

This recipe was great!!! We used it as a pizza sauce and as a spaghetti sauce. I put a teaspoon of garlic powder in place of onion powder. Also added two cloves of garlic. Added about a quarter teaspoon of thyme. Fresh basil tastes great too, instead of ground basil! I skipped oregano because we ran out, but because of all the other ingredients in it, it tasted great! This is definetely my favorite sauce.

I am planning to make pizza this weekend and decided to make this ahead of time. I made it, let it sit for about 30 minutes and I was totally impressed. I did change the recipe a bit as I like garlic and used canned parmesan cheese. It's still delicious. Now I'm even more excited about making pizza

I love this pizza sauce. The only change I make is to leave out the honey. It made the sauce a little too sweet for my family's liking.

Very good and easy. Be sure to let it marry the flavors. I did not and i think it would've been better had i done that. I agree with the sweetness factor... too much. Next time i will either omit completely or reduce. I definitely make again. Thanks!
