This is a lovely and easy to make sauce which I rely on. As written, it is extremely sweet; I use about a tsp of sugar instead. I don't use the anchovy paste, just because I don't have it on hand, so I don't know what effect that would have.

My husband, who has a deep loathing for any tomato based sauces, absolutely loved this, as did I. I used more cayenne and red pepper flakes than it called for and omitted the honey but it is easily our favourite sauce, so much so that he has asked me to make a large batch so we can use it more often~

Excellent! I love the little bit of zip the cayenne pepper and red pepper give it! Enough for me to enjoy it but the kids to still eat it and not complain. We doubled the recipe (but not the honey so that it wasn't too sweet) and froze half of it.

love this recipe.. did all the ingredients minus the anchovy paste.. the kids were thrilled. I use this along with some sliced tomatoes seasoned in olive oil, oregano and some garlic placed over the pizza.. wow..

Exquisite does not do this sauce justice! It is the BEST pizza sauce I have ever made. The only change I made was to cut back on the honey a little and also added more garlic. :-) AMAZING...thank you for sharing!!

Super yummy! Had a great flavor! And the longer it sits, the better. I used it for pizza 1st night and cheesy baked pasta a few nights later... super good! My picky boys devoured it all! Thanks for sharing. :)

Very good, truely no comparison to canned sauce and so easy I can't believe I waited so long to make this. I followed some other reviews and made a big batch of the seasonings and then just a single batch of the sauce. I tried it after 1 TBSP of honey and decided to stick with that. I'm really looking forward to using this as my base for pasta sauce.
