5 stars because it's so easy and cheap to make this meal. I know some people will hate on the frozen burritos, but I keep them around for my lil brother and his friends. I used the spicy bean and cheese ones and made this a meatless meal. I did use a canned sauce so can't rate that, but i will be making the sauce next time I made this. Thanks for the super easy dinner!

I really enjoy this recipe! I have been making it FOREVER (I first stumbled upon this years ago in my Quick Cooking cookbook)! I especially like the sauce - it jazzes up plain 'ol frozen burritos when there is no time to make them from scratch. Tonight I made just the sauce (it's my favorite enchilada sauce recipe - EVER!) and so simple to prepare. I already planned to make Cottage Cheese Chicken Enchiladas (annabell), but because I had some spare time, I decided to make my own sauce as opposed to purchasing a can of the generic, store-bought stuff (not that that's always a bad thing...). Boy am I glad I did! Thank you SO much for sharing your recipe with the Allrecipes community, Terry Ann :)

I made this sauce tonight for some homemade burritos. I thought that this was very close to perfect. I made it as written and the next time I make this (which there will be many next times!) I will add a little more chili powder, some garlic powder and some of the ground meat that I use for the inside of the burrito to it. Very yummy! Thank you for the recipe!

Made only the sauce and it was pretty good, nice taste, super easy! I've made this with 4 onces of tomato paste and and extra 1/2 cup water when I didn't have tomato sauce and it turns out the same. Thanks for the nice sauce.

I make this weekly. My family loves this recipe. It is so quick and easy. I use a bag of 10 burritos, which are gobbled up. I now make 14 because that is all that will fit in my pan.

Execellent sauce !! Made the burritos from another recipe from this site, that the sauce called for enchilada sauce, that I'm not a fan of. This sauce was the winning ticket !! Thank's so much !!! The combo of the two were amazing !!! Defintely a keeper !!! Will make on a regular basis !!! :)

This is the first enchilada sauce that I can honestly say I like. Tried it with the frozen burritos...that was just OK...the sauce is amazing.

This was wonderful. I made my own burritos out of left over roast, black beans and cilantro rice. I didn't have any beef bouilion so I used Lipton beefy onion soup mix. It worked out great

I used this for the home-made sauce only. It turned out wonderful on top of our home-made burritos. I topped it all with loads of cheese and chopped green onions. They didn't last past the next morning. Thanks for the sauce, it's so much better than anything from a can.

Made the sauce to use with my own homemade burritos and it was really good. Much better tasting than canned sauce. I added a little more chili powder and cumin than was listed and used garlic salt instead of regular salt.

Oh my goodness!! This is the best enchilada sauce ever!! I rolled taco filling in tortillas rather than using frozen burritos, so baking time was only about 10 minutes (long enough for the cheese to melt!). My family loved it!
