I made 2 changes-cooked the hamburger with fresh onion and garlic, and used Taco seasoning. I don't think this really changes the essence of the recipe, which is awesome! My hubby put sour cream and salsa on his, I ate mine the way it is. Either way, it's a hit.

This is such a tasty dish and it's become a new favorite with us. My husband and I like to add a lot of "extras" to recipes for more protein, vitamins, etc. So I added a can of seasoned black beans in addition to the refried beans (Hello, Bean-o!). We also added diced tri-color peppers. We thought it needed two cans of the red enchilada sauce instead of one, and I threw in some salsa between layers. This was absolutely scrumptious and we've already made it twice so far. I'd recommend this one to anyone!

Easy and delicious, leftovers just as good! Like others, I also used canned enchillada sauce for ease. Based on some reviews that the tortillas were a bit mushy, I fried them first in a small amount of vegetable oil for @25 seconds each and dried them on paper towel. Used several tortillas for each level and did not coat them with the enchillada sauce.

Absolutely mouthwatering delicious. My picky 6 yr old even loved it. I used shredded chicken instead of beef only because we had beef the night before. I also used the canned enchilada sauce as other reviews had mentioned. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys mexican, and if you don't, I would give it a try anyway.

This is a keeper. I too used canned enchilada sauce and black beans like other reviewers. Everyone who tried it liked it. To spice it up for those that wanted it a little hotter I placed sliced jalepenos on a portion of it.

I used Old El Paso canned enchilada sauce (two hot and one mild) because I prefer my food with a little kick rather than the first three ingredients. I also used ground turkey breast because that what I had on hand. I found this recipe to be good, however next time I think I will probably double the amount of tortillas I use because I felt like I was eating only meat and beans.

This recipe was just okay to me. I didn't necessarily like the cream of chicken taste. May try it again with a few variations.

My husband and son absolutely loved this recipe. The only thing that I did different was to use fajita size flour tortillas for the top that I sliced in 1/2 and laid over in place of the corn ones. It got rave reviews !! I also used the encilda canned sauce instead of the mix.

LOVED this!! We just ate this for dinner and it is so absolutely yummy! Okay, so I did make a couple of changes. I added a pack of taco seasoning instead of doing the garlic and onion. I also used about 3 cans of enchilada sauce instead of making it from a pack, and lastly used a can of drained/rinsed black beans instead of refried beans. Delicious! I absolutely will add this to our Saturday night Mexican/movie night rotation!

I thought this recipe was very good. My husband on the otherhand said it did not have much taste. Maybe I should have served it with salsa and sour cream. I did make spanish rice and a tossed salad. I think I will make this again tho.

Very good--everybody liked it. I added more spice to everything, but could have done with more tortillas according to the family. Next time will do two or three times the amount of tortillas. Other then that delicious!

Pretty good. Used Maltese Mom's comments. Added fresh cilantro on top. Had to cook 30 minutes. Could use some hot sauce in my opinion. Not enough spice for me but a good, easy weekday meal.

I made this over the weekend and it was a hit and even was eaten for left overs. I used 2lbs hamb. added taco seasoning(2pks), 2 Rotell's, 1-black olive(not much of a fan) and 1 can enchilada sauce, I did fry the corn shells in oil like suggested and then dipped in enchilada sauce and used PLENTY of cheese like 6 cups, and it made sooo much that I will end up freezing some because it was alot. But was good

Very nice dish. Threw some cumin in with the beef. Used pre-shredded Mexican cheeses. Used black beans, (minus liquid) instead of re-fried beans.

I made this EXACTLY as listed and give it 5 stars. If I had made any changes, I could not give it any stars since it would not longer be the recipe at hand. I don't understand you people. You decide to try a recipe but make an inordinate amount of changes to it FIRST, then rate it. Aren't you just rating your own version of this recipe? Why don't you people just follow the original recipe, rate it, then make the recipe again with your changes. Is there no honestly around at all that so many would rate highly a recipe, no less, that they have changed and personalized?
