I usually don't make French Toast when it calls for any liquid/milk to be added, but I thought I'd give this recipe a try; especially since we had a really delicious tasting Vanilla Almond Eggnog in the fridge. The end results... I didn't care for this. It was a bit soggy in the middle, as all French toast recipes are when any liquid/milk is added to the eggs. I never use milk/half-and-half, etc... in my recipe. I just use eggs, but I do add ground cinnamon and a splash of vanilla extract. By just using eggs, it firms up the bread/French Toast while cooking it in the skillet. My mother never added any milk to the eggs when she made French Toast, and now I can see why. She didn't want soggy French Toast. Needless to say, after just eating a few slices of the French toast, I didn't use the remaining eggnog mixture, I just dumped it down the drain. I will be sticking to my recipe from now on.
