Always yummy- I usually use a glass turned upside down to make a cookie cutter instead of taking the time to cut holes in each piece of bread. I suppose you could just use a round cookie cutter too.... Yum.

Yum, I used rye bread and it was so buttery and crispy. Awesome twist on my everyday norm. Brown up the center piece for a topper.

Funny all the different names for this simple but great dish. My mom called them Gashouse eggs, which is what the actor Don Ameche called them when he made this dish in a movie from the 40's, called "Moon over Miami". The classics are always best!

Very good, try adding some pepper on one side and cinnamon and brown sugar on the other. Top it off with syrup. Hmm, Hmm, Gooooooooooooooooooood!

I have always known these as "One-eyed Jacks." It makes a heartier meal if you add a slice of cheese and then a second slice of bread for a grilled egg and cheese sandwich. Very delicious!

We have these a lot at our house and they are BIG hits! We call them "Hole In One's". Sometimes we crumble up some bacon and sprinkle some shredded cheese in with the egg before pouring it in the center of the bread. Yummy!
