My sister gave me this recipe, and at times, I have substituted the sausage with ham, and even added canned tomatoes, spinach, mushrooms, or other veggies in season. Everytime I try something new, everyone loves it. I often get asked for the recipe.

Made this on Christmas morning and everyone loved it. I did make some changes like others suggested. I doubled the recipe for 12 adults and there was only a little left over, everyone had seconds. I used 22 eggs, 3c cheese (colby-cheddar) 1ts Italian seasoning, 2lb Jimmy Dean reg bulk sausage, which I browned the night before, 2 pgs cresent rolls, 1 1/2c milk. Bake the cresent rolls first for 10 min, then added the rest for 40 min. This recipe is a keeper!

This is very good. I add 2+ cups of crushed corn flakes and 1/2 stick of melted butter and then bake!

LOVE IT!!! Sunday morning breakfasts in my family are a big thing, and this is quickly becoming a BIG TIME favorite!Make sure you use higher quality breakfast sausage. I bought a generic off brand, and it seemed to be a little too greasy when I cooked it in the casserole.

This is a good breakfast casserole. Used Sage sausage to give it an extra kick! Did bake it about 50 minutes, crust turned out nice and crunchy!! My husband gave this one two thumbs up and I agree!

I halved this recipe using 5 eggs and a whole pkg of the croissants, layering as follows: half of the croissant dough, 1/2 lb sausage, half of the egg/cheese mixture, 4 sandwich size slices of sharp cheddar, the other half of croissant dough, and then the rest of the eggs. Even though I halved the recipe, it still took almost an hour for the eggs to cook completely. This was good, but definitely not good for you!

This recipe turned out great. I ended up cutting it in half for just my husband and I but still used the same amount of crescent rolls. I also threw in some spices for flavor. I agree completely with the reviews that say this was not enough cooking time. I checked it at 30 minutes and the middle was still moving. It takes about twice the time, but tasted great when it was done!

I used this recipe on Thanksgiving when I couldn't find my usual egg and sausage bake casserole. As others suggested, I added a small amount of milk and increased my eggs to a dozen. I also added some dry mustard (one ingredient that I could remember from my recipe), dried parsley and garlic powder. I didn't particularly care for the crescent roll crust, but everyone thought it delicious...so I am in the minority.

Made this for work and everyone loved it. I used 10 eggs and 1 1/2 cup each of the chesses. I also baked my crescent rolls first for 7 mins. My dish took about 45 mins to cook after adding everything else. Thanks

This is awesome! I had leftover ham, so I subbed that in for the sausage and I used Colby Jack instead of mozzarella. This took about 45 minutes to bake, but it was worth the wait and delicious!

This was great! I didn't have sausage, so I cooked up a pound of bacon and substituted. Everyone at work loved it - it was gone within 1/2 hour.

This was easy to make. I took some tips from other readers, and reduced the amount of cheese and added some half-and-half to the eggs (sorry, I didn't measure at 5am). Thinking I was being clever, I cooked the sausage the night before, and then forgot to add it! So, mine was a meatless breakfast casserole, and it was quite good. I used Italian seaonings, and prebaked the crescent roll crust about 5-7 minutes before adding the egg-cheese mixture. Started with oven at 350 for 20 minutes, and 300 to finish. I'd make this again; it was a breeze.

The taste of this casserole is excellent, however, the preparation is a bit more of a challenge. The crescent roll dough was the most challenging to mess with. I used brown and serve sausage links without cooking it first and that was good. The egg and cheese mixture ratios in the recipe gave a very thick cheese mix. After cooking, great. I will make this recipe again but making some minor adjustments to the quantities of ingredients.

This was a really nice recipe. However, the second time I made it I followed some of the recommendations of the other cooks. I did pre-bake the crust/rolls and added 2 extra eggs. I also skipped the oregano and added some red and green peppers AND let it bake for an extra 10 minutes. It was a lot better this way. Everyone loved this. This is a great way to feed a lot of hungry people without a big lot of effort. I will definitely be making this again!

Yummy! I have used bacon/or ham to replace the sausage if none was in the house. I also omit the oregano (personal taste) and add garlic powder. I love it!
