This recipe is great... I've made it for Christmas brunch and for dinners. I used 8 eggs with 1 cup of milk. The Quiche recipe I make calls for 3 eggs and 1 cup of milk and it cooks up fine. So I wouldn't worry about adding a cup of milk. I like to whip the eggs and milk with the hand-held mixer to add air to the egg/milk mixture which makes the casserole less dense (I think!). I cooked the sausage, then sauteed onions and mushrooms in the grease. I also threw in some cooked broccoli that was in the fridge. I ended up using 2 cups of swiss cheese, and 1 cup of cheddar, which was plenty. My husband took some to work for lunch today!

Great recipe. I always make two: one with hot sausage (Bob Evan's) and one without meat. I add onions, mushrooms and green peppers as well. The hot sausage gives it a nice kick!

I make this dish at least 2 Sundays a month with the following changes. I use egg beaters instead of whole eggs and only use 1 cup (4 eggs). Instead of the suasage I use morningstar farms breakfast patties. To getmy son to eat more veggies, I add read onion and bell pepper. My family loves it!

Wonderful Dish! Only thing I did different was to use medium cut hashbrowns instead of the bread. Everyone at church loved it. Thanks for sharing.

this recipe was a hit tonight for supper...i made some alterations to the original recipe though...i layered the 13x9 with the crescent rolls in the greased dish. bake at 350 for about 6 mins. as a previous cook suggested. works out well. then instead of using sausage i used thinly sliced ham & bacon bits and layered it on top of the somewhat cooked crescent rolls. i then beat 10 eggs in a bowl and added about a cup or so of co~jack cheese. poured it over the ham, bacon, and rolls. bake for 25 mins. in your pre~heated oven. when there is 2 mins. remaining i put 8 slices of american cheese over top and melted...turned out very good...family gave it a thumbs up...

Yum! Cooked the crust 7 min before adding other ingredients. Also, used 10 eggs and 3/4 cup milk per other reviewers. Very good! Loved the oregano.

Great recipe. Baked the crescent roll for 7 minutes before adding the other incredients. Used 9 eggs and only 1 cup of mozzarella and 1 cup of cheddar. After about half way baking, I sprinkled a little more cheese on top. I also added one drained canned of mild green chiles, a little salt and black pepper to the egg mixture before placing in pan. Great recipe for when you have company over for breakfast. Much easier than cooking eggs and sausage seperately. Enjoy!

This was my first breakfast casserole and it was delicious. My husband and 2 year old enjoyed it as well. It is definitely going into the breakfast rotation. It was so quick and easy to make. The only change I made was that I precook the crescent roll for 7 minutes on 350 degrees. Next time I will use less cheese and add onions or/and bacon.

For someone who is generally not a breakfast casserole person, I'm addicted to this recipe...it is so EASY! The OREGANO is the secret...and ANY cheese you have in the fridge will be fine (have made it a half a dozen times, with whatever cheese I have). Simple & delicious!

Very good and probably better the next day. I decided to prebake the dough for 7 minutes as others reviewed and added 2 more eggs. Other than that the recipe stayed the same. I think green/red peppers or onions or mushrooms or chopped broccoli would go with this also. Thanks for another great breakfast casserole recipe!

Modified with: 10 eggs, 2 cups cheese (1 cheddar, 1 mozzarella), 3/4 cup milk and 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoned sausage and pre-cooked the crescent crust for 10 minutes. Great recipe and works well to refridgerate leftovers. I also sometimes put tabasco sauce, sliced tomatoes, a little lettuce and a little sour cream on top if I want to change it up a little bit.

We love this recipe! Since finding it we have made it tons of times, it's our fall back when we have company. Depending on what we have in the fridge we also add, peppers, onions and mushrooms. It really is a great recipe.

I made this casserole for our Mother's Day brunch. My family really enjoyed this recipe. I followed the suggestions and added 2 more eggs and 3/4 cup of milk. I only put 1 cup each of the cheeses. I also baked the crescent rolls for about 7 minutes before adding the egg mixture. Very good!
