Sure didn't do it for me. I like my egg salad with a lot less onion.

My husband said this was the best egg salad sandwich he has ever had. BUT.... there are some things I didnt like and would change: The amount of minced onions (1/4 c) was way too much!!! I added about half and it was still too oniony for my tastes. Plus, the minced onions are even stronger than fresh. I think I would have rather had fresh minced onion. It wouldnt have been so overpowering. Next, the dill weed was a new thing to me so I just added 3/4 tsp. instead of 1 tsp. It was good. I think 1 tsp. would probably have been just fine. So, to sum it up, great recipe, but I would have used 1/8 cup of fresh minced onion. The onion flakes were just faaaaarrr too strong!

** Fabulous recipe** The dill adds a great flavor, which is a nice change from the same'ol egg salad. The only addition I made was a 1/2 cup cooked, finely chopped bacon, otherwise I followed the recipe as written. I also ate this on an Oat Bran Pita pocket with lettuce . NUM YUMMY !!

I think the mayo would have been overkill in this recipe had I used the original amount. I definitely cut it down noticeably. I think the key ingredient missing from this egg salad is chopped celery. Egg salad really needs that crunch. Anyway, the spice combination didn't really impress me.

I used onion powder instead of dried onions and next time won't use any at all and will reduce the garlic powder, it kind of over powered it. I also added some paprika. I will also increase the dill. Family liked it.

Delicious. I will never buy deli egg salad sandwiches again! The only change I made was use only 3/4 cup mayo.

Simple and simply fabulous. I make it all the time just as the recipe calls for. I have two "gormet" variations that work great with this on flat bread or foccacia with fresh spinich leaves. Use 1/2 Tblsp groud cumin or curry powder.

I have always just "whipped" up egg salad, so I thought it would be fun to try someone else's. It was very good.

Added a little finely chopped celery and onion for some crunch and substituted mustard for Dijon. Very good!

It needs some crunch! Maybe pickles or celery next time will improve it for us. But, we liked the flavor a lot.

By far the best egg salad I've ever had. The dill weed and mustard powder work perfectly together. I didn't have any onion flakes but I don't think that made a huge difference.

This is an excellent egg salad base, however, I thought it was kind of bland. I read some of the other suggestions and limited the salt and added paprika. It was still very tastless to me so I added about 2-3 teaspoons of spicy brown mustard and this did the trick! Excellent flavor and just a little bit of kick to it. Very creamy. I suggest you omit the mustard powder and use real mustard instead.

Great recipe. I added paprika and didn't have dry mustard so I used prepared mustard. Also, no point in using dry onion flakes. Put the real stuff in if you like onions. Turned out pretty good.

Did not like this at all, I think it would have been better had I used regular mustard rather then the powered.
