This was the first time I ever made noodles, and I couldn't have asked for a simpler recipe. Very good!

Really delicious egg noodles! I used rice milk and Smart Balance Light in place of the milk and butter to make it dairy-free. Once and a while I throw and extra yolk in or two. Delicious, simple, and a lot less expensive than fresh store bought!

This is a great recipe!!! If you have a problem with the noodles being tough, just cook them longer. Be sure to cut them small if usng them for soup so you don't have to cut them in the bowl. My daughter suggests using a pizza cutter and cut in random shapes and just air dry while making the rest of the soup.

I made no changes to the recipe with the exception of following the yellow food coloring tip from "purduejennings." I've frozen my noodles for making soup tomorrow, but I did try a few - they are very yummy and they will make a wonderful addition to homemade soup. :-)

Love this recipe and we use it all the time! Homemade noodles are so much tastier, healthier, and cheaper. We have a pasta maker, so I think that takes a lot of the work out of it. We sometimes have friends over for a big pot of homemade chicken noodle soup and it always gets rave reviews. Just a little more effort than buying noodles, but the satisfaction is unbeatable (unless maybe you bought fresh noodles, and I'm sure that certainly wouldn't be cheaper)!

These noodles were so tender and chewy. I will never use another noodle recipe again. This worked out perfectly for my chicken noodle soup.

These were so easy. I usually use a recipe for dumpling strips, which have a great tender flavor, but take a long time to prepare because I have to cut in shortening. With this recipe I used the suggestion to put it in my bread machine on the dough cycle. I was even able to double the recipe and it came out perfect. The dough was nice and stretchy and so easy to work with. This will be my new noodle recipe and I'll just save the other one for special occasions.

Very good and easy. I used the Kitchenaid to mix and knead...the pasta attachment to roll and then hand cut into nice fat noodles for parsley butter noodles. Yumm!

Same basic recipe that my grandmother and great-grandmother (full Cherokee) used to use as a basic starter. I just taught my granddaughter the recipe and what can be done with it. Same recipe, rolled a little thinner, use a glass to cut out circles, fill, fold over, and crimp with a fork to makes raviolis. Make one inch balls with the dough and add to chicken or beef stew for great southern dumplings. A real American classic.

These are basically the exact same egg noodles I have been making since I was a kid....recipe was passed down. The only difference I use 4 egg yolks, in place of 2 whole eggs and use cream in place of milk. I tried this recipe as written and I prefer the heartiness of my recipe. these were good, we just like a denser noodle.
