I followed this recipe exactly and turned out awesome. I even used fat free cool whip. The frosting I melted in the microwave for 1 minute at 1/2 power and just poured it over the cake. Next time I will go for lite or fat free graham crackers and see how that works out. I actually made it on a Tuesday and did not serve it until Friday. My guests loved it. It tastes exactly like a chocolate eclair! This is a keeper for sure! Thanks for the awesome recipe!!!

My mom has made this recipe for years and it's the "most requested" item at any family gathering. My oldest daughter loves helping ma-maw make this...it's so simple. It does make A LOT, but the leftovers are just a yummy (if not better).

Made this months ago and just realized I hadn't reviewed it. This cake is awesome. My boyfriend always orders "eclair cake" at a local resturant and I wanted to surprise him with it one day. This is the exact recipe that he orders at the resturant. So delicious!

This was incredibly easy and perfect for a crowd but I did find it much too sweet, probably because of the graham crackers. Next time I'll try using the saltine crackers like another reviewer mentioned.

this is the perfect summer dessert. i love it exactly the way this recipe is, but it's also good with banana pudding mix and chocolate graham crackers. it also works well with sugar free pudding and cool whip and skim milk. still tastes decadent!

This was AWESOME - I used fat free/sugar free vanilla pudding and fat free cool whip. I also used chocolate graham crackers and took the advise of others and melted the frosting before pouring on top of the last row of graham crackers. This was sooo good people kept asking me for the recipe and I have already been asked to make it for two more family functions! So easy to make and so rich tasting - easy to make it somewhat fat free/sugar free!

This was very good and so easy to make. I made individual ramekins by crushing the graham crackers into medium sized chunks and layering it into the ramikens as the directions said. They were very pretty and everyone loved them.

My best friends mom, a southern belle from Donalsonville Georgia, used to make this dessert for every family reunion, potluck.. whatever. And we ate it up every time. I remember when I finally got old enough to ask her for the recipe, and I could not believe it was so crazy easy! Loved it then, make it and love it now!And yes, it is great with cheesecake or white chocolate pudding, and please, make your own chocolate glaze! Ms. Jean always did!

This is one of the easiest and yummiest desserts I've ever made. I have made it for 4 different occassions in the past month and at everyone people have asked for the recipe. Thank you so much for sharing!

I love this dessert! I can actually make it my dorm room if I want to, and I added it in a presentation I had to give for my computer class(I chose to make a slideshow of desserts you can make in the dorm room).

I love this cake! I was taught how to make it using no salt saltine crackers instead of graham crackers. I tried the graham crackers last time I made it, but felt that they were too heavy and thick. I personally like the saltines better! BUt still a really yummy cake! And it much easier to get the frosting on by melting it in the microwave first, and then just pouring it on.

Absolutely fantastic! Pillsbury Creamy Supreme (blue container) Chocolate is a good frosting if you don't make the frosting yourself. Everyone loves it...except for the name, which isn't really accurate and a mouthful to spit out. But that's okay; it tastes so good, no one cares!

We all enjoyed this. I melted the icing in the microwave, thinned it a tiny bit with milk and poured 1/3 in the middle layer, and the rest on top. If I make this again, I think I will make a homemade chocolate ganache instead of the pre-packaged icing. This was totally different than anything I've had before so thanks for the recipe, will probably make again with a few tweeks.
