This "cake" is not special enough to make for birthdays or special events. Many reviewers suggested that they rec'd requests for birthdays, etc., and that it was a big hit. Hmm? It's not a terrible recipe, because it's easy to make and tastes good, but it's nothing great. We're talking about graham crackers and pudding, basically. This is the type of thing that is perfect to make when you're craving a dessert and have all or most of the ingredients on hand. It's perfect to half for one or two people to keep on hand to snack on. It's far from being too sweet. It's mild. As for a special occasion or to present to important company, I'd skip this one and do a little more work.

This is a wonderful recipe because it's easy, requires few ingredients and tastes good. It's not too sweet, at all. For those saying it's too sweet, why eat dessert? I didn't think it would taste like an eclair, but it actually does. I halfed the recipe and made it in a square cake pan. I used Betty Crocker (my fav for baking goods) Dark Chocolate frosting. I chilled the cake for 30 mintues as recommended by some reviewers, and microwaved the frosting slightly for easy spreading, as was also recommened. Awesome recipe!!

I made this for own household first before the get together I was going to make it for. My daughter loved it. I made a few changes to fit our household. First I used sugar free French Vanilla pudding, 1% milk and lite whipped topping. I also got dark chocolate frosting which I think made it a bit sweet but it looked great. I also melted the chocolate in the microwave for 40 sec. and poured it over the graham cracker and pudding mixture. All in all I love it.

I thought this was good. It is really sweet. Great for a quick good tasting dessert. I think I'll try it with a different flavor pudding and maybe try making my on chocolate glaze. The frosting was a bit much.

This was an awesome recipe that my whole family loved. I've tried it with several different puddings, and it changes the flavor of the whole dessert. I use it with fat free milk and it provides a lower fat dessert that my whole family will eat (and never know the difference). Try fat free sweetened condensed milk with milk chocolate, white chocolate, or butterscotch morsels to make various flavored frostings that you can mix and match!

So great for a no bake recipe. It tastes so amazing and creamy and it can be modified into a lower fat dessert as well. Love it!

Really easy and tasted great! It was a huge hit at the potluck I brought it to. No leftovers. A tiny bit runny though.

This was definitely an easy and inexpensive dessert to put together but I don't see what all the rave reviews are all about. I thought this was a very blah dessert with not much flavor. I followed the recipe exactly as stated.

This is delicious! I like to make it with sugar free pudding and light coolwhip. Also, i substitute hot fudge topping for the frosting. Heat it up in the microwave for a few seconds and it spreads on perfect!

Was looking for this recipe to make for home and work. Everyone devoured it. I used the chocolate glaze from another review and it was awesome. It was cocoapowder, butter and milk. It came out with a darker chocolate flavor which complimented the vanilla nicely. Definitely a keeper:)

Very good! Exactly what my husband's aunt always brings to family reunions. My husband saw me looking at this recipe and literally begged me to make it. =) I could eat a bowl full of the filling. It is SO good! I used the Satiny Chocolate Glaze from the site on top but used milk chocolate chips instead of bittersweet.

This recipe was very good. I substituted lady fingers for the graham crackers because I don't like graham crackers. I also added a little whipped cream cheese to cut down on the sweetness. It was AWESOME. Now I keep the ingredients for the filling on hand just in case!

I LOVE this recipe! (and so does everyone I make it for!) I would absolutely suggest not using a can of frosting, but doing 3T butter, 3T cocoa powder and 2C powdered sugar instead for the topping.
