This dish is fantastic...easy and tasty! I did feel like the Italian dressing was somewhat overwhelming. Next time I'll use half dressing and half broth to cook the chicken in.

I make this also, but cook the chicken with the zesty italian dressing on high for 1 hour. Then after microwaving the cream cheese for around 1 min. I mix it with the cream of chicken soup. I do not add the thyme or basil, but 1 tbsp. of Texas Pete. I then cook on high for 1 more hour and serve on egg noodles. It's delicious!

I think this is a great recipe! It is one of my favorites, actually. I like to add a splash of white wine to the mix and a couple cloves of garlic, as well as some milk to thin the sauce out a bit at the end.

My kids and husband loved it. I had to add about 1/2 cup of skim milk, as it got too thick in the last hour of cooking. It was a bit too rich for my taste. I will definitely make it again...majority rules!

I did not drain the chicken after I shredded it. I did not have much dressing, so I used what I had and added olive oil, apple cider vinegar and Tastefully Simple Garlic Garlic. I did not add any seasonings when I added the other ingredients except for chicken gravy mix. I used reduced fat cream cheese and soups. I served this over brown rice. VERY GOOD!!!

I thought this was just ok. My family ate it and said it was good but nothing special. I thought the cream sauce was too thick and bland. The chicken cooked in the dressng was a great idea and came out very tender. If I make this again, I will add more seasonings to the cream sauce and probably half the amount of cream cheese.

Quite good. The only thing I can add is that it seemed to need salt.

This was very tasty and a huge hit with family and friends. The cream cheese did not want to melt and blend in the crock pot, so next time I am going to mix it with the soup in a kettle and heat it until it melts, then add it to the crock pot. Will make again.

We enjoyed this. I too added a bit more chicken. Even after the salt/pepper, it still needed a bit of love. So bring on the garlic powder. Everyone really enjoyed, I will be making it again. Made tons, great for leftovers, served over noodles

My whole family loved this dish, even the picky 3 year old! We thought the flavor was perfect - not too zesty, but not bland, either. I can see how some people might be put off by the resemblance to tuna casserole, but we weren't bothered by that. The leftovers were great for lunch the next day spread on crackers.

I made this and served it over angel hair pasta -- It was ok. Part of the family liked it, but some didn't. It was bad, but not great. Probably will not make again.

Very easy to make. The chicken with just the dressing is delicious. But then after adding everything else..the tastes just didn't meld well for us. I would try again with a little tweaking.

Be sure to drain all the italian dressing completely and start over w/ shredded chicken & cream sauce. It's a tasty dish and very similar to tuna cassarole.

Excellent. I will definitely prepare again. Substituted neufchatel for cream cheese and used 98% fat free cream of chicken. Heated the soup, broth and "cream cheese" on stove so as to blend, then added it to the crock. I served this over cooked cheese tortellini. It reminded me of chicken and dumplings.., but better.
