Straight out of the oven I was skeptical of these cookies. My cookies spread out a lot, did not keep the little heart shape in the center and were thin, crispy and brown around the edges. I rolled them out in powdered sugar instead of flour. I iced them with "Sugar Cookie Icing" and instead of using icing in between the cookies I used raspberry jam w/ a bit of lemon juice. I let these set over night to take to work the next morning. Over night the cookies softened A LOT and the flavors of raspberry, lemon and almond mingled together making a delicious cookie. I received many compliments from coworkers!
