family loved it - doubled up the recipe and accidently forgot to put a third of the noodles in and what a mistake it was it came out perfect not to creamy and not to dry, even with doubling up there were no leftovers.

I agree with previous reviewers. This recipe is good in its original form and the addition of the fried onion rings is very good. You other reviewers have created entirely new recipes when you make as many changes as some of you have made. Why not submit your version as a new recipe? Sorry to be critical but people are looking for a review of THIS recipe and not one that you have created from this one. PLEASE!!!

I so agree with CHGOFOODIEGAL, don't show a review with totallly changing the recipe. ALL recipes, and I mean ALL recipes are individual creations. whenever you adapt/change/alter, which is what ALL good cooks do for personal preferences, you have then made a unique/personal recipe, which you should take the time to adapt, measure, and do all the things necessary to make it your own version, and publish it. Not totally embelish and change someones creation or adaptation of a recipe THEY made for personal taste. TRY the recipe as printed, rate it, then make your own adjustments for taste later, and create your own recipe.. Nick Stellino, a personal mentor, and expert southern mediterranean chef, in his book, "CUCINA AMORE", that taught me the basics of cooking and adapting, says the same thing. Try it the way it is written, then, as all recipes are, adapt to make it your own, through experiment and creativeness, and personal taste.. Kimberly, this was an excellent version of an old family standby in comfort foods. Thank you....And I am sure I will adjust it somewhat for personal preference, AFTER, I try it your way...hehe. Thanks girl. very good as is. 5 stars for your creative juices. keep'em coming..

I haven't made tuna casserole in years! Saw this recipe and decided it was "what's for dinner tonight"! I used 2 cans tuna, whole wheat pasta, added frozen peas, and topped with crushed potato chips as I didn't have any french fried onions. Served with homemade biscuits! Absolutely yummy - and the family loved it!

This was a great, fast EASY recipe. I will be making it often! Even my toddler loved it. FYI, as another reviewer mentioned, 1 1/2 cups dry pasta makes about 3 cups cooked. I did make some modifications based on previous comments: I added 1/2 cup peas, 3/4 cup milk, an extra can of tuna and a dash of pepper & pepper seasoning. Personally I thought the cream of chicken soup was an excellent change for this classic comfort food dish.

The thought of Tuna Casserole made me shiver from a bad experience with a poorly made casserole from years ago. I bucked up and thought I would try this one since it was raved about so much. SUPER!!! I can see this becoming a favourite on a cold day. I followed the recipe pretty much, just added some peas I had left over in the fridge. My picky daughter even ate it!

This is a good basic recipe. But you cant make tuna casserole without some frozen peas, and cream of chicken??? not with tuna it has to be cream of mushroom or celery. You can allways be creative with the toppings though, I have used crunched up potato chips even bbq flavor is good,I have even used funions, 1\2 cup of mayo makes it extra creamy if you like that too.. tuna casserole is so good because you can make it your own so easy or you can make it different everytime.

Very good tuna and pasta casserole! A little dry around the edges, but still very good. I used 2 cans of soup, and 2 cans of tuna. All in all, it came out well!

Great recipe but I'm completely in agreement with the review and comments by, "ChgoFoodieGal". And in that spirit I made some changes to the recipe. For the macaroni I substituted flour, baking soda and baking powder. For the tuna I substituted eggs. For the onions I substituted oil. For the cheese I substituted buttermilk. I ended up with a batter that I cooked on a hot griddle and ended up with pancakes. But it was a great tuna casserole recipe! ;~} Honestly, making a minor change to a recipe you're reviewing is one thing but most of these reviews have changed so many ingredients that I don't see why they bother to review it. It kind of misses the point of posting recipes with specific ingredients, doesn't it? This recipe is either good as it is, (or with a minor modification) or it isn't.

My mother's recipe is the same, but instead of onion rings on top, we add crushed potato chips on the cheese. Delicious and very comforting...

This recipe was excellent as it was written. I 100% agree with ChgoFoodieGal when she said it's ridiculous to thoroughly CHANGE the recipe and then rate it. We are rating THIS recipe. I can maybe see adding more spice or possibly one item, but some raters change almost all the ingredients except the main one, losing the entire concept of the rating system. Good grief.

I crave tuna casserole every once in a while, so I made this for a quick lunch over the weekend. It came together quickly and was really very tasty. The only changes I made were to use cheddar jack cheese and add 1/2 cup milk to the soup. Thanks for the recipe!

This was my first ever tuna casserole, as I have never been a big fan of tuna. But I got sick of making the same old things and decided to try it. It was pretty darn good. I added a few spices and threw in some vegetables so I felt better about eating a bunch of pasta.

Good base recipe, I just added some things to accomodate our tastes. Sauteed celery, mushrooms, and green beans in some olive oil while the pasta was cooking. I didn't have enough macaroni, so I used mini farafalle. I used cream of mushroom soup instead of the chicken (personal preference). I also realized I was out of shredded cheese, so I covered the top with american cheese slices. Added plenty of garlic powder and black pepper. I also used cheddar french fried onions, yum! Obviously I changed things quite a bit, but recipes are often times just jumping off points. Thanks for the quick casserole :)
