Spectacular! The type of beer you use, really does make a difference...I didn't have the french onion soup, so I just used a packet of dry onion soup mix and added water. Also, I added some garlic and parmesan to the rolls before baking.
Update-Used dry onion soup mix again, added water without measuring. Spooned in some beef bouillon base, added more water, then a half of a large bottle of guinness stout beer, garlic powder, onion powder and worcestershire sauce. Melted cheddar and dubliner cheese with garlic on top in the oven...wow!
