As the other reviewers did, I cooked my ground beef first, then added the other ingredients. I didn't have any cream of mushroom soup, so I first used condensed tomato bisque (like tomato soup, but with bits of tomato in it). It didn't look it was going to be enough sauce, so I added half a can of cream of onion, plus a half can of water and that was the perfect amount. I did half potatoes/half carrots (for color and nutrition). Because I used the cream of onion soup I didn't use an chopped or minced onion. I added about a Tbsp. minced garlic, several good dashes of worcestschire sauce, and about a 1 1/2 tsp. thyme. I sprinkled some sharp cheddar cheese on the top, too. My family loved it... especially my husband -- he went back for more! (He likes his with cayenne pepper on top.)

I didn't have any ground beef, so I cut up three strips of bacon and fried it while I diced the potatoes, then continued with the posted recipe. It was awesome, my husband wishes I had made more!

It's a keeper! My picky son loved it!! I did modify since I did not have all the ingredients on hand...I used dried onion flakes, added garlic powder, used 6 little red potatoes instead of 4 russet, and also topped it with shredded Fiesta Blend Mexican cheese...there are no leftovers!!

Loved it. Didn't have corn, so I used fresh shredded carrots and a can of mushrooms. Also had to cook it on low heat for about an hour. Yummy!!

This was delicious! As suggested, I browned the meat before adding the corn and everything else. I browned the meat with onion and 2 cloves of garlic, as well as about 1/2 tsp each of thyme and marjoram. I also boiled the potato cubes before adding to the meat to cut down on cooking time. A little bit of cheddar cheese topped it off wonderfully!

We really like this dish. It was easy and tasty--surprisingly so. However, I don't know how you could put the beef in raw, unless you have very lean ground beef. I cooked my beef first, then assembled the dish in the skillet. Requires more than 45 minutes to cook, though; our potatoes were still crunchy. I also used home-grown and preserved corn, which I think made a big difference.

This was easy and good. I added some spices that sounded good to me at the time to the hamburger and served it with a little shredded cheddar on top. Easy!

I too added 1 cup of water to the soup, as well as some sliced, uncooked mushrooms. Very tasty!

Definitely very easy. I added ~ 3/4 cup of water with the soup, and also uncovered for the last 10 minutes. Will be better next time with the addition of a little Spike-(or something for more flaovor.) We will make again.
