My family really liked this. I added some cayenne red pepper and garlic powder to the flour mixture kick it up a notch. I had whole bone-in chicken breasts which I used.

Excellent flavor with the addition of garlic powder & onion powder. Next time I'll try just butter spray & a cast iron skillet in the oven, because I ended up with soggier crust than I like. Still tasty!

This was great! So SIMPLE, EASY, and very tasty. We actually liked it better than what you'd buy in the store so this is definitely replacing that for a much more cost conscious choice!

When my family is happy - I'm happy, and they sure love this recipe. I added 2tsp. season salt and 1tsp. each of garlic powder and onion powder, as suggested by reviews. Now the kids get happy when they smell it cooking!

I made this as the recipe stated with the addition of maybe 1/2 teaspoon of cajun seasoning. Still found it a little bland. Good base recipe though.

I only used 2 tablespoons of butter. I doubled all ingredients except the sage and flour. Added 1 teaspoon each of garlic powder and onion powder and a 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper.

Very good and so easy too. I added other spices because of other reviews and I have to agree I think it is needed. Onion powder and garlic powder with a shake or two of cayenne.

I give it 4 stars for what it is, but really the chicken (though juicy) wasn't very flavorful. Maybe I was wanting something more along the lines of crispy breaded chicken.

Family favorite! The only modification I make is to use freshly ground whole wheat flour. Occasionly, I mix up the blend of spices.

This was a great recipe. I took off the skin. I only used 2T. butter and about 2T olive oil. I baked at 450 for 10 minutes, then at 350 for about 40 min. The chicken was tender and juicy. I did turn the chicken about halfway though.

I've made this several times, using slices of chicken breast (chicken tenders), and it always comes out wonderfully. Family loves it! Definite keeper.

This was tasty and my husband really liked it. I added red chili pepper since he likes spicy food. One word of advice: dry the chicken a little bit before putting it in the bag, or you'll end up with a slimy dough that covers only part of the chicken...like I did. I used boneless breast tenderloins and they were overcooked, so I will shorten the cooking time a bit next time. I'm sure it's not too long for bone-in chicken though.

Great starter recipe! A summary from all the reviews is: Make the spices your own!! I sprayed my baking dish and chicken parts (prior to flour coating) with butter flavored Pam. Of course I threw in some of my trusty Emeril's seasoning to boost the flavor. Good stuff - a regular in our house and a great use for those more economical (bone in w/skin) cuts of chicken we are using in these tough $$ times. Highly recommend!!!

This is so much easier than frying on the stove and way less mess too! I left out the sage and salt and used chili powder and curry instead. It was really good.
