I just mixed this up, adding 1/2 T basil and 1/2 t sugar, as suggested, and it tastes amazing! I have a pizza crust mixing in the bread maker and I hope it turns out because this will be an awesome pizza. I usually buy a big gallon can of pizza sauce at Sam's club and then freeze it in 1 c portions, but I'm thinking I will buy the tomato paste and sauce in bulk and mix a large quantity of this to freeze in 1 c portions. Pre-portioning works out handy for pizza, breadsticks, or dipping grilled cheese in. mmmm. The best pizza sauce I have ever had.
