Good recipe with suggested addition of 2 t. basil, reduce oregano to 2 t., add 1/2 t. garlic powder, 1/2 t. onion powder, and 1/2 t. Aleppo pepper or 1 t. red pepper flakes. DO NOT ADD the baking soda somebody suggested. It ruined my first batch and rendered it inedible. I only added 1/2 t., too. Yuk.

I made this sauce tonight along with "Quick and Easy Pizza Crust". I always like to try to make according to the recipe the first time, so I made it just as described. I was a little disappointed, given the all the great reviews...I found this rather bland tasting. It wasn't bad, just needs some additional flavor.

I just mixed this up, adding 1/2 T basil and 1/2 t sugar, as suggested, and it tastes amazing! I have a pizza crust mixing in the bread maker and I hope it turns out because this will be an awesome pizza. I usually buy a big gallon can of pizza sauce at Sam's club and then freeze it in 1 c portions, but I'm thinking I will buy the tomato paste and sauce in bulk and mix a large quantity of this to freeze in 1 c portions. Pre-portioning works out handy for pizza, breadsticks, or dipping grilled cheese in. mmmm. The best pizza sauce I have ever had.

Super easy to make! I even had some left over from my pizza and used it to make meatball subs the next day! I also used the Pizza Dough 1 recipe from this site to make very easy, amazing tasting pizza! Thanks for the recipe!

I agree with those who felt it was somewhat acidic. If you prefer more of an acidic sauce rather than a mild sauce, then this might just be the one for you. It was good as a breadstick dipping sauce. If anyone has a sauce recipe comparable to Cassano's pizza sauce, please share with me as I prefer a sweeter sauce and would be very grateful for the recipe. Thanks!
