Delicous! With a few tweaks it was perfect, i will from now on be making my own pizza sauce! I added an additional 1/2 tsp. sugar, 1/2 tsp onion powder, and 1/2 tbsp of basil, and i also used fresh minced garlic instead of dry!

I gave this three stars only because the first time I made it as is. It was bitter and the family wasn't fond of it. However, I decided to try it again adding 1T of sugar to cut the bitterness of tomato paste. Perfect! The family requested pizza again that week. Thank you for the recipe.

This comes together in a snap using ingredients that I always have on hand! I did use 2 cloves of minced garlic along with 2 tsp each of basil and oregano and added 1/2 tsp of sugar. Great thing is that this makes a ton, so I have frozen 2 containers for my next 2 pizzas! Made this to put on Amazing Whole Wheat Crust from this site!

My first time making pizza sauce was a hit thanks to this recipe. I don't know if I can eat store bought sauce ever again. The garlic taste was perfect.

Excellent sauce recipe. I used tomato puree b/c I was out of sauce. I assume they're about the same. Maybe it was a bit thicker, though. It was sweet, thick, just what I think pizza sauce should be.

I always try to grab the pieces of pizza that have the most sauce on them. It's my favorite part of the pizza and this sauce is exactly like what I want it to be. It's thick, flavorful and tastes really fresh! Since I started making my own pizzas, I've been using sauce out of a jar. Well, never again. This sauce is just too easy and by far better. Thanks!

Unbelievable! Makes a perfect sauce. A little goes a long way. I freeze in little containers for later use. You don't need to look any further for a pizza sauce recipe!!

I took the advise of other readers and added1/2 tsp sugar, 1/2 tsp onion powder and 1/2 T. basil. I also used 2 cloves minced fresh garlic instead the dried stuff. With these changes I give it 5 stars. I am thinking without these changes it wouldn't have had enough flavor.

Quite a yummy sauce - tastes like pizzeria style sauce with the following modifications: Only 2 tsp oregano, add 1 tsp. basil and 1/2 tsp sugar. Don't apply too thickly as it is very flavorful. Recipe makes far too much for an average size recipe pizza crust (would probably cover two).

This pizza sauce was bland on my pizza. I used how much it said. All ingredients were measured exactly. When I made another pizza, I used a different pizza sauce and it tasted perfect. I was not happy with the results of my 1st pizza! My family and I all disliked the sauce. I personally will never try this sauce again!!!

This was great! I realized at the last minute that I didn't buy pizza sauce and very quickly looked this up and my 3 and 5 year olds go to help make the sauce since it was SO easy. How cool is that!

Not very good! Used fresh garlic and followed the recipe. The sauce is very acidic, so I added sugar and 1 teaspoon of baking soda, to try to neutralize the acid. This helped a little, but the sauce still is not very appetizing. I will not make this again.
