We used fresh beets and green onions from the garden, cooking the beets for a few minutes until sharp knife-tip tender. We doubled the recipe for the amount of beets we had but only used 2 c. sugar still and 1 1/2 t. salt. The cinnamon was the perfect touch! These would go nicely as a side with pork. Thank you!

Excellent flavor and very easy. Great when you don't have time to fool with raw beets.

I have compared some similar recipes, and this one is my favorite. The cinnamon makes a big difference, adding a unique flavor. Also, the vinegar taste is stronger than the sweet, which I like. It's a quick and easy recipe that makes a lot. Luckily, it keeps for a while and the taste improves with time.

This ia a great recipe. How wonderful for the person new to canning to practice. We have enjoyed these all winter and when ever I want to make more, all I have to do is to go to the grocery store.

This is the easiest recipe and the beets taste most like the store brand. I use beets out of the garden for this, I cook them up whole and then peel 'em and slice 'em and use this recipe to can them. my many thanks for this one, it is the best!!
