I made this for Easter dessert in a 9 x 13 dish, doubling the recipe and adding vanilla and cinnamon as suggested by other posters. As they suggested, I cut down on the sugar and only used
1 1/2 cups sugar. Everyone loved the dessert, but I thought it was too sweet. Next time when doubling, I will use only 1 cup sugar. I cut the bread in 6 squares to the slice and when making again will just cut each slice in quarters. A quick, easy dessert that I will definitely make again.
