Very good and easy to make. Just a tad messy just to warn you. Use a food processor to chop up the cookies into fine pieces, and with a hand held mixer, use this to blend the cream cheese & cookie crumbs. I put the whole mixture into the fridge for an hour at least (overnight if you can, works the best). I use a small cookie scoop to make the balls, and dip with a fork (put ball at the edge of fork) and use a spoon to pour chocolate over it. I also dye the white chocolate red and green during Christmas time. These are a hit and everyone enjoyed them!

These were crazy good. I used 60% bittersweet chocolate on half and semi-sweet on the other half. People seemed to favor the bittersweet. Also, rolling them with forks did not work for me. I ended up just using my hands and got far prettier results.

I have been making these for a few years. They are fantastic. Everyone request that I make them, if they only knew how easy they truly are. I also melt a small amout of white chocolate and place on a spoon and shake/drizzle over the plate of truffles makes them very pretty. I do this instead of reserving the 9 oreos for the top.

I love these truffles!!! We had them at a cookie exchange one year and did not know the name of them at the time because the cook would not reveal her recipe. We dubbed them better than sex cookies. :)

Newmans cookies work great and have better indgrdients than Oreos. I also like to use a white chocolate. Giradelli makes all natural white chips now. I would love to find a similiar recipe that does not require refrigeration.

Have been using this recipe for several years and love it! Except I use white chocolate to dip. It's a favorite at my hubby's work every year.

We made these last year. They are SO EASY and SO DELICIOUS! We also melted white chocolate, put it in a ziploc, cut off the corner, and drizzled over the milk or dark chocolate for a professional look.

My niece insists that I make these as her CHristmas gift every year. It's putsy but oh so worth it. I love them semi-frozen. I have also made these with peanut butter cookies

My sons are crazy about these. I use almond bark instead of baking chocolate. I dip half in chocolate bark and half in white- then I drizzle the opposite color on top of them. They look very fancy and taste delicious.

I agree, these are sooo easy and yummy. Though we call them "reindeer balls" at my house!! One other variation that we love is to add a teaspoon (or more, depending on taste), of instant espresso. To make these easy to tell apart from the regular ones, I dip these into melted white chocolate. Sometimes I sprinkle colored sugars on them while still wet. Freezing the balls for a short time helps for me, too.

I made these wonderful truffles except, I made them Weight Watcher friendly by using low fat cream cheese and reduced fat Oreos and dark chocolate.

Very easy to make! I had a lot of luck with the two forks idea. Also, 9 cookies for the top was way too much. I probably could have gotten away with 5 cookies for 48 truffles. I only wish they were a little sweeter. Maybe next time I will use milk chocolate instead of semi-sweet.

I made these with semi-sweet chocolate chips instead and it was super easy! My husband took them to work the next day and they were gone by lunch...I will be making these again for Christmas. Very rich and creamy.

Wow! Just perfection! I wanted to test these out (& didn't want too many around the house) so I made 1/4 recipe. I followed the tip of a previous reviewer & broke the two middle tongs off of two plastic forks & used them to dip -great idea! I dipped them in Wilton's Light Coco candy melts & then drizzled them with some semi-sweet chocolate that I added a little shortening & Wilton's Creme De Menthe candy flavoring to. After reading reviews, I was worried that these would be a major pain to make but they were surprisingly easy & impressive -especially considering that they are rich & a little goes a long way!

Yummy! I added crushed candy canes for a chocolate peppermint taste. Just add to taste and then sprinkle it on top with the oreos I also rolled them in white chocolate which was amazing. Everybody loved them!

These are excellent but the chocolate coating can be a bit frustrating. I was reading all the tips and didn't see this one-thinning the chocolate with either butter or shortening makes the coating task a lot easier and the results a bit more professional. I also tried the mint oreos but found that the cookie filling was too thick. Could have just been my lame food processor. The nutter butter ones are great! I'm gonna try adding some flavored extracts for fun!
