I made this for a party and it was well received. I got my recipe from another place and was told to use the candy chocolate you get at craft stores, don't worry about that, getting chocolate chips from the grocery store worked just as well. I covered mine with dark chocolate and then did a white chocolate drizzle over them after, so they were pretty. Only things I didn't like: 1. Dipping was a pain, maybe should have gotten that dipping spoon. Use something wider than a measuring cup, next time, i might try a square baking dish surrounded by a hot towel or something to keep the chocolate melty longer. 2. do not get water in your chocolate. 3. These are very rich so I suggest maybe dipping one half in dark chocolate, let them cool, dip the other half in white chocolate. 4. Next time I will use a non-chocolate cookie, maybe peanut butter or ginger snap.

These were wonderfully easy to make...until I tried the chocolate dipping part. I now just roll them in finely chopped nuts instead (I use all the cookies in the truffles and don't reserve any for topping). They don't need to be any more chocolatey, and the nuts (I used pecans) are a great complement to the taste.

This is a wonderful recipe and it so easy to make. I only reserve about 5 crushed cookies for the toping and I use candy making chocolate wafers for dipping. People have said these are both heavenly and sinful!

Fantastic! I used white chocolate instead of semisweet. Also I used the food processor to mix in the cream cheese. Then chill for a while to make rolling into balls easier.

I made them for a bridal shower & everyone loved them. I bought already crushed oreos, which was a real time saver.

No matter what event we attend, I am always asked to bring these. I dip my in white chocolate. I have also found that refrigerating the dough before rolling out the balls makes it much easier to handle and it doesn't flake off in the chocolate.

These were NOT easy. I will never make these again, and I recommend that no one else bother either. It is worth it to just go buy some. I love to cook, but these were extremely messy and did not look good when they where done. They were not round, and it was VERY hard to coat them in chocolate.(I used a slotted spoon with melted morsels) I would recommend taking the word "Easy" out of the title of this recipe and buying yourself a box of truffles instead of slaving for 2 hours to get a ball of goo. The only reason I am giving this recipe a 2 is because my husband and his friend said they tasted good.

So easy, so yummy, and totally impressive! I love recipes that are this simple yet taste like they are much more work. I made these for my son's teacher for teacher appreciation week and she loved them.

So easy!! Every time I bring these I get asked for the recipe. I have made the with every flavor that oreo makes. They are very good with original dipped in white almond bark. YUM!! Make sure to use two spoons to roll the balls around in the chocolate. I did this for the first time and don't know why I didn't do it sooner. I have always refrigerated them and then used a toothpick to assist in the coating process. My son and I did three batches in a half an hour!! I will never think twice about making these because of time.

These are great - and a hit at the party! Really easy to make - I think the dipping worked well with using a teaspoon and fork - resting the truffle on the fork and using the spoon to pour the chocolate over. I think the trick is to try and handle the truffle as little as possible and trying to keep them at the tip of the fork so that you can slide the fork out without having to touch the truffle when putting it back on the wax paper. Chilling them for at least an hour helped (I think mine chilled for a little longer than an hour) and I kept them on wax paper on a metal cookie sheet to help keep them cool while I was dipping. My next ones I'll try with a different cookie - probably nutter butters since after telling guests about this version, I got requests to make them next time with the peanut butter cookies! I got many compliments so definitely making again :) They are rich, so you can't have too many of these at one time - but maybe that's a good thing!

I have made these twice using Oreos. I made them most recently using Nutter Butters instead. I never thought they could be better than with Oreos, but I definitely like them better with the Nutter Butters. I used 30 cookies, but it seemed a little dry, so I might use fewer next time. I did use a little of the crumbled cookies on top and I think it makes them look nice.
