This is very good. My husband and I make it and have left overs for several meals. When eating it as leftovers, be sure to heat it up.

I give it 5 stars on taste, but 4 stars overall because it needed a few changes and is not a main dish but makes you think it is one. Very, very yummy, but not a main dish. This should be called a Hearty Mexican Dip. It is fantastic and I will make it again, but the whole family ended up eating it by scooping it up with chips. Next time I will leave the chips off the bottom (they were soggy) and just serve it with chips for scooping and eating. Very good flavor!! My changes = I left off the green onions & olives and added canned sliced jalapenos. I cooked the meat with 1/2 pkt taco seasoning and onion powder. :)

Very good! I also added the taco seasoning along with jalepenos, onion and green chilis to the beef mix to spice it up. Will make again!!

I followed the recipe and while it tasted ok, the consistency was weird. Kind of like mush. My husband didn't seem to notice and went back for seconds so it was a hit there. I just wasn't a big fan and probably will look for a different recipe next time.

This was pretty good. Just finished eating it and didn't mind eating it. I also didn't LOVE eating it. It was better than just "ok" but it wasn't spectacular. I didn't follow the reviews to use taco seasoning or onions, and it may have added the "jazz" if I'd have done that. Hubby is in there picking at the pan, though. Guess HE liked it :-)

We love it with minor touches..did not use tomatos since we don't like them in our leftovers, used ranch style beans instead, used taco seasoning and a layer of spanish rice!!! Yummy!!

My whole family liked this meal. It was a tad bit salty but a quick fix. I forgot to mix in the chili beans, so mine was without those. It still turned out fine. I will make this again.

I made this a few days ago. My family loved it. I added taco seasoning like others suggested and left out the olives.

Very good. I also used the taco seasoning with the ground beef and threw in some onion. This was a perfect recipe for using up some "leftovers" or for just using what was on hand. I have four boys and between them and hubby.... it's gone! We layered it and called it "Mexican lasagna."

This was delicious! My husband and I both loved it. We used it as a dip for tortilla chips for days after I made it. It's a fun recipe to experiment with. I added Mexicorn and chopped onions. Based on the other reviews, I used fewer chips and seasoned the ground beef with packaged taco seasoning. Also, as a new wife and rookie-chef, it's nice that there are virtually no way to mess up this dish. :)

Soggy and salty - if you've got these ingredients, just make tacos or nachos instead.

My only complaint is that the chips layer is soggy & very chewy-otherwise this would be a 5 star recipe! I think next time I'll serve this over freshly crushed chips instead of baking them in the casserole. Very flavorful & super easy!

Really good! I added cilantro and Rotel to the meat. Left out the sour cream. I will try taco shells in place of the chips b/c they do get soggy.

Wow. This is good. I added 2 cups of cracker crumbs to the chips for the crust. It made a big difference in sogginess. I also added extra cheese and skipped the sour cream . It was great!
