Good, I think I like tacos better, same ingredients and fresher.

Here are the changes I made, other than that I followed the recipe. I added a chopped onion to the browned meat, also added 1 1/2 tsp chopped garlic, 1 1/2 tsp salt and 1 1/2 tsp cumin. Used a can of pinto beans and 1 cup green onions and 1 whole tomato chopped. The flavor was perfect. I will make it again but not as a meal, it was more like something we would serve with chips to eat while watching football. Good recipe!

I didn't really enjoy the crushed chips at the bottom of the pan as they were soggy. So next time I'll add tortillas as the bottom. I used a homemade salsa and put in 2 c of yogert instead of sour cream. Did everything else according to the recipe. Didn't see the need for taco seasoning. This recipe has enough flavor going for it. I'll prolly make it again without the crushed chips at the bottom of the pan.

Followed recipe exactly... It was OK - chips got soggy. None of us were a big fan of the overall taste, so likely won't try it again.

I made it according to recipe. Wife and friend enjoyed it much, however I was a little disappointed. Not the fault of the recipe, just that I found it lacking in the sense of really good TexMex food. Can't think of what I would change, other than perhaps a more flavorful salsa. Maybe the addition of some chili powder. It didn't "zing".

I used taco meat from my freezer, so it was seasoned with taco seasoning II from here already, which made up for the small amount of salsa I had. Very nice for a weeknight meal - easier than tacos since it's less last-minute work. Great way to use up tortilla chips from a party!

This was good. May need a few more spices for better flavor. Was a bit bland for my taste. Otherwise, good.

Pretty Good! We added corn, black beans, canned jalapenos and sauteed mushrooms to the meat mixture ... along w/ a packet of taco seasoning. THE ONLY THING I did NOT like was the tortilla layer on the bottom. It was mushy and gooey.

I made this for dinner last night and my hb devoured it! It was very good and I will definitely make it again. I used cheese tortillas for the bottom (which I did not add to many because of the reviews) but I did not find they were soggy at all and my hb said I should have used more. The only change I made was to use red onion diced and added with the beef when frying and I did not use the green onion. Thanks for the recipe.

This was good,I did use taco seasoning,I think it added,I used some petite tomatoes with jalapenos in them. and three cups of crushed chips was enough, really more than enough,I had enough for the pan and to put on top. again,a good recipe.

This was a really yummy casserole. I used a homemade salsa that was pretty hot. Do remember that most of your flavor is coming from the salsa you use so use a good one. I put some peppers and onions in the meat while I browned it. I really didn't see a need to add taco seasoning as others have. I also didn't have any fresh tomatos so I used some well drained canned rotel I had lurking in the fridge. I also think that 3 cups of chips is a proper amount as mine soaked up all the wonderful juice from the meat mixture. All in all this is something I will make again as we really enjoyed it.
