We just had this tonight and not only was it "easy" it was so yummy! I added taco seasoning (along with some garlic salt and onion flakes) to the meat. I used actual "chili beans" although it would be good with refried beans, too. My husband doesn't like onions or olives, so I left those out. On top of the sour cream layer I added a layer of canned pickled jalepeno's (like on nachos). OMG!!! We ate it with some of the corn chips and it was good! I think next time we will use cut up corn tortillas instead of the crushed corn chips (which I left whole thinking they wouldn't get soggy) and will try to layer a few times similar to lasagna. Would be great served with some grilled pineapple, too! Thanks for a great recipe!

I liked this recipe, but would have prefered a cornbread base to the tortilla base. It seemed a little greasy. I also saved the sour cream to be served on the side. I'd probably add it back next time and offer some on the side too.

This was a very good, EASY recipe. My kids, who don't usually like anything with 'Mexican' in the title, thought this was great! The only changes I made were: I added 1/2 cup sour cream to the cream of mushroom soup, used black beans instead of ranch style, and used 1/2 of a taco seasoning packet. So happy to find a quick, easy recipe that everyone likes!

I made this for the family and normally I get mixed reviews on specific dishes, but this one was a hit even with the picky kids!! I used whole corn chips and also crushed some to fill in the gaps, and instead of cheddar cheese I used a spicier nacho cheese mix. It turned out perfect. I'll have to make two trays next time so that there is enough for everyone getting thirds!!

It was so good. We used turkey instead of ground beef. I also baked the dish w/ out the chips and then put fresh chips on the plates and topped w/ the rest. Chips were nice and crunchy.

My wife and I were looking to make our first mexican dish. We saw the recipe had hundreds of reviews and 4.5 stars so we thought we'd give it a try. We prepared the recipe as is, substituting flour tortillas and adding taco seasoning powder to the beef. It's "OK". Nothing special. Definitely no "Wow!" factor. The cheese and sour cream overpower everything. You can barely taste the taco seasoned meat. We couldn't taste the olives, green onions or tomatoes, and wondered why they were in there besides any aesthetic factor. You could easily leave these out. Probably should have left the sour cream out too. This dish reminded me of one giant burrito filling turned inside out. My 13 month old son devoured it at his daycare, I guess he liked it more than us. But the wife and I wouldn't make it again for awhile. You can't really taste the sour cream, and if you could, I wouldn't have eaten a bite! It's easy to make, I'll give it that. But that's all I'll give it.

Very good! I didn't have corn chips so I used flour tortillas which I tore up and layered on the bottom. Didn't measure the onions, tomato or olives; just chopped/sliced and threw them on. I did cover the dish for the first 20 minutes. This was even better the next day! It reheated great in the nuker.

I thought this was just okay. Not sure what I was expecting. There was nothing wrong w/this, just nothing that "wowed" me about it either. If I make again, I may make as a filling for taco shells. I love mexican so I'm not sure why this didn't do it for me, but...

I was a little disappointed with this recipe. I felt it lacked that extra ummpf. Next time I am adding some refried beans to the mixure and possibly some taco seasoning. I did not have the green onions the recipe called for but I did have all the other ingredients.

YUM!!! I really like this recipe. It was cheap, easy and good. It tasted like nachos without all the mess. I cut the recipe in half and I had a little leftover for our family of 4. I only had canned tomatoes so I used those and they worked great.

My family enjoyed this recipe! I added taco seasoning(from this site) to the meat, as well as, 1 can of rotel, a bit of enchilada sauce and crushed red peppers. I put a layer of crushed tortilla chips on bottom, as well as the top. I didn't add the black olives, tomatoes or salsa. Not a bad quick meal. This dish would be great for a potluck dinner. Definitely a keeper. Thanks for sharing!
