My only complaint is that the chips layer is soggy & very chewy-otherwise this would be a 5 star recipe! I think next time I'll serve this over freshly crushed chips instead of baking them in the casserole. Very flavorful & super easy!

Really good! I added cilantro and Rotel to the meat. Left out the sour cream. I will try taco shells in place of the chips b/c they do get soggy.

Wow. This is good. I added 2 cups of cracker crumbs to the chips for the crust. It made a big difference in sogginess. I also added extra cheese and skipped the sour cream . It was great!

Insanely good! We ate it all week. Used black beans, which we love. The only minor complaint was that the tortillas got soggy.

very good! We're not olive lovers here, so I omitted those, but I added refried beans (I did keep the chili beans) because to me, Mexican dish just isn't complete without refried beans! :) Very good recipe, easy to alter without messing it up.

This is such an easy and tasty casserole. My whole family enjoyed it. I made sure to use hot salsa, since we like things spicy. I also used a Mexican blend of cheese. I was surprised by the extreme positive feedback that I received from my family. My wife said she wasn't hungry; then after trying a bite, she ate three helpings. What do they call this kind of recipe, a keeper? Indeed.

Easy, loved it. I also added the taco seasoning to the ground beef. Next time I may toss in a cup of corn.

This is a very good basic recipe; however, as others have said, it needs some additions. To the ground beef mixture, I also added a can of green chilis, a can of Rotel, 2 tsp. cumin, and a half a package of taco seasoning. Then I followed the rest of the recipe as written. We enjoyed this alot and the leftovers were even better!

This recipe isn't making it into my rotation. I even dressed this up with taco seasoning, jalapenos, and rotel (rather than just tomatoes), but it was still only OK. I think it makes a better dip, almost like a seven layer dip, rather than a casserole for dinner.

This recipe was delicious! Made it for my boyfriend and we both loved it. I took the suggestions from other members and added 1 can of black beans while cooking the ground beef. Then I added a can of rotel, a can of green chilis, a can of mexicorn, and 1 packet of mild taco seasoning to the mixture. Will definately make again.

This Casserole was Very Very good! I did change a few things as most of us do. I used PeperJack Cheese and Sharp Cheddar. I Also use Black Beans instead of the beans it calls for. Either way This Recipe is Very good! My Family Loved it!

This recipe is perfect as is, but I do make a small change. I use black bean and white corn salsa, which tastes great and you don't have to add the beans separately.

Next time I will read the reviews first. I made this as instructed and my first thought was, I wonder if some taco seasoning would spice this up. Very good base recipe but will add taco seasoning next time. Thanks!

My family loved, loved, loved it. It will be added to my regular round of meals. I was surprised the chips stayed crunchy, but they did and it was great. I didn't have fresh tomato on hand so drained a can of diced tomatoes for the top.
