Pretty good yet the ground beef layer was blah. Next time I'll take the advice of other reviewers and add taco seasoning. I used sharp cheddar- very good. Family liked it.

Fattening but delicious and easy! I added ketchup to the ground beef to make it a little sweet.

YUM! I have passed this recipe around to everyone I know and everyone loves it! It is a very quick go to recipe! I have made it probably 5 or 6 times and will continue to make it on those nights where we are craving some quick, yummy Mexican!

My husband and two boys raved over this recipe. Voted to have it at least once per week. I only had 1/2 cup sour cream on hand, no olives, no chili beans. I used drained canned diced tomatoe and black beans and regular onions sauted with the ground beef. I will try the reciped as directed next time, maybe the boys will elect to make it. ;)

Great family friendly casserole!I used black beans, low fat sour cream and low fat baked torilla chips per another reviewers suggestion. Added some nacho cheese sauce as well as cheddar jack on top of the sour cream layer and wow! My old Mexican casserole recipie just got replaced. Thanks!

This casserole is absolutely scrumptious! My family loved it! I used low-fat baked tortilla chips and low-fat sour cream to lessen the calorie and fat content, and it still turned out perfect. I used the black beans, but I think the pinto beans would be good too.

What an awesome and easy recipe. I followed everything exactly just to see how it turned out on its own, very yummy. Next time, I will try some of the variations other reviewers used, just to mix it up a bit. Thank you so much for sharing!

Very good - my man loved it, had seconds, and asked for some to take for his lunch. I left out the olives and added green chilli's instead. I added onion and garlic during cooking and used black beans. I didn't cook it on the stove or in the oven as long as the recipe said. Very good and easy recipe. Oh, I also just used a couple of flour tortilla's on the bottom instead of the chips. They are kinds of hard to cut so I probably should have cut them up first. It was very good though.

Yum! Now this is comfort food. I rated in a 4 because I made a couple of changes. I only used 2 cups of crushed chips as suggested by another and I put 1/2 pkg of taco seasoning in the beef, again as recommended by another. I don't like black olives so I left those out. Next time I am going to add a few green chiles to it.

Big hit on the home-front... husband and teenage son thought it was the bomb. I added a layer of roasted hatch chilies because I wanted to use them up and get some more... I'd recommend that! You could get the same effect with a can of green chilies. Still good the next day as leftovers, but not quite the same with soggy chip crumbs.

I made the recipe as written and thought it was "ok". Much too bland for my taste. I love easy dishes like this for a change of pace from tacos/fajitas/burritos though and think it could definitely be changed up to be a great recipe with some personalization. Next time I would use nacho cheese doritos for the chip layer, add another layer of cheese over the meat & bean layer and definitely more seasonings (a taco packet or similar) and finely diced onion to the meat while its cooking.
