I caramelized the onions w/ a little brown sugar and garlic before adding them to the meat mixture. Also, I cut down on the milk by 30% and used a sirloin/turkey mixture of meat. As noted by the other reviews, I doubled the sauce for the topping and used italian bread crumbs. The meatloaf was very moist and very tasty! Both my husband and I loved it.

I have never made a meatloaf with milk, so I was skeptical. I added some worcestershire and crumbled some French's fried onions in the mixture. I just topped with ketchup. I also used deer meat and it was great! Will definitely be making this again!!

I sauteed the onions first because I hate crunchy things in dishes that aren't supposed to crunch (meatloaf, deviled eggs, tuna salad, etc.). I added a teaspoon or so of Worcestershire, a handful of grated cheddar cheese, and a pinch of dry mustard to the meat mixture. But it would've been delightful without my alterations. So, five stars. I'm stuffed!

This was very good! I made the recipe exactly as is. The bread crumbs I used were Italian, so it had a little bit of a kick to it. It was very easy and so tastey! I will be making this again.

Great! Like some other cooks, I browned the diced onion along with garlic, mushrooms, Italian parsley. I added Worchestershire to the meat and cut down a little on the bread crumbs (I used seasoned) and milk. For the topping, I used 2/3 cup ketsup, 1 Tbsp brown sugar and about 2 Tbsp Mezzetta "zesty" bell pepper relish, and the result was perfect - not too sweet. My fiance loved it, and I can't wait to have the leftovers in sandwiches today. I'm giving just 4 stars since I changed up the recipe but will definitely make again.

MMMMMMMM!! really good recipe. i did add some meat rub and worcestershire to it. let it sit in fridge for an hour or so before cooking. recipe doesn't say to cover or not, i cover it with foil, then take off foil and bake for another 15 minutes. put a couple slices of bread at the bottom of the pan to soak up the grease. yummy!!

Made exactly as the recipe states, I thought it was a little bland, though it had a good texture. Very good sauce.
