Easy Meatloaf Recipe Reviews - Allrecipes.com (Pg. 2)

This was a very easy recipe to follow and very tasty! I changed only a few things. I used seasoned Italian bread crumbs in the meat and I sautéed the onion with fresh garlic in olive oil. For the sauce, I used only 1 tablespoon of brown sugar instead of 2 tablespoons and I also added 2 tablespoons of water to it. It was a hit! It was moist and juicy. My pick husband even asked for a second helping and then excused himself from the table to get a third slice for himself. Thank you for sharing. I will definitely make this meatloaf again.

This recipe was awesome! I also added green bell pepper and sautéed the onion and bell peppers together first. I also used real bread and sliced it into tiny bread pieces as well as seasoned bread crumbs (about 1/2 and 1/2.) I am a huge cheese lover and so is my boyfriend so I layered about an inch of meatloaf then a 1/2 inch of cheese over and over again until I ran out of meatloaf. The cheese was my favorite part. I used Monterey Jack. The ketchup/mustard/brown sugar sauce was so yummy I made extra to top it off when it came out of the oven. My boyfriend was highly impressed with how good it was. He ate it for 3 days in a row!! Iv made meatloaf before but it has never been this good. I am definatly adding this to my favorite recipe list!!!

I made this for dinner 2 nights ago, it was a big hit and easy to make. I did as suggested and used Italian bread crumbs which gave it a yummy flavor. I forgot to add the Worcestershire sauce but will add next time!

This was a very good and very tasty simple meatloaf recipe. My only complaint is that with the brown sugar it makes the meatloaf over-the-top sweet. The ketchup has enough sugar in it to give the dish some sweetness.

It took me 2 hours and 15 minutes for this meatloaf to cook! It was really mushy, too much milk I think. I'll go back to grandma's recipe next time.

I actually made this meatloaf recipe in a cupcake tin. I used 1 pound of ground chuck and 1/2 a pound of ground turkey. I didn't have an onion or bread crumbs, so I substituted dried minced onions and crushed saltine crackers. I also added some Worcestershire sauce and Cholula hot sauce to the meat mixture. (My family likes things with some zing to it.) I also added Cholula hot sauce and some dijon mustard to the sauce mixture for on top of the meat. The recipe was really easy to follow and I can't wait to make it again. I don't know the caloric intake and such because I tweaked it.

WOW! I tried this tonight and my wife laughed....Well it turned out GREAT!! I used chopped onions in her spice rack(freeze dried??). I poured have of the topping on and put in oven then after it was done, I drained the grease off and topped with rest of topping and put back in oven for about 3 more minutes. VERY GOOD!!! even for me....I think the topping made it!!!!

This is an excellent recipe! I appreciate that it is so simple but results in a delicious meat loaf. I've tried other recipes that required more ingredients but still did not compare to this-- I would highly recommend this recipe.

Great flavor - enjoyed by everyone. Have made over and over again...best served with mashed potatoes of course! I also made a simple brown gravy and added some of the topping mixture and Worcestershire sauce to the gravy to give it great complimenting flavor. Notes below. I made with 2.25 lbs ground beef and so adjusted other ingredients to: 2 eggs, 2-3 shakes of minced onions, 1.5 cups of milk, 1.5 cups of seasoned bread crumbs (the SEASONED part makes a big difference) and I sprinkled Worcestershire Sauce all over the top prior to putting the brown sugar/ketchup/mustard on the top. I made 3x the sauce to put on top as I made 2 loaves with this recipe. I also cooked it for the 1 hour at 350F and then an additional 30 minutes at 225F. Internal temperature 160-165F.
