Easy Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings

"My family and I love chicken wings, especially during football season. I just got tired of spending so much money on wings for our party that I decided to whip up my own version of Wing Stop's® lemon pepper chicken wings. The ending result was an empty platter and pleased bellies."

Directions

  1. Heat oil in a deep-fryer or large saucepan to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. Stir olive oil and lemon pepper together in a bowl.
  3. Fry the chicken wings in hot oil until no longer pink at the bone and the juices run clear, about 8 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted near the bone should read 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
  4. Toss hot wings with olive oil mixture to coat.

This recipe is a big hit. My husband loved it. I had to had a tad more olive oil to mix the lemon pepper better.

I followed all the instructions but i lightly floured chicken and fried it then tossed it. My household loves lemon so i squeezed a little bit of real lemon in the oil mix and tossed the wings. They were a hit!

Tried it tonight and it was a success. I thought it wasnt going to be enough olive oil and seasoning but it was perfect.
