Very nice cookies. I added some more lemon zest and then I added in some lemon juice--either I made it dryer with the extra lemon zest, or it was too dry. Either way, I love how these cookies crinkle in the oven, and with the extra zest and juice they are very nice. Sweet, still, so good for the Christmas cookie tins I'll make, but with a good lemon flavor. And they really are nice and soft on the inside. I baked for 10 minutes, partly because I chilled the dough overnight. I mainly chilled it due to the time factor, but I didn't want them underbaked. I also used my small cookie scoop to make the cookies, and dropped directly onto powdered sugar. Perfect. thanks for the recipe!

After the great reviews was expecting a great cookie. Not so great! Certainly very easy to make, kids will probably love them but I thought they tasted like processed cookies definately not homemade. There must be better lemon cookies out there!

These were awesome. Used a duncan hines "supreme lemon" cake mix and added 3t lemon juice, 3t lemon extract. Came out perfect.

I made these cookies the other day and everybody loved them and wanted the recipe. I did leave out the extract and used one tablespoon of fresh lemon juice and a little grated lemon rind. I also let the dough cool in the refrigerator for 24 hours before roling and baking.

I'm sorry I have no idea how this cookie got such high ratings. I have never rated a recipe so poorly but they were sickening sweet and fake tasting. I made these for a gathering and I was really embarrassed. Even the kids didn't like them.

These cookies were very easy and had a wonderful texture. My only compaint was the artificial flavor that undoubtedly came from the cake mix (as I used lemon juice as a substitution for the extract). But, seeing as the whole batch was enjoyed in only a couple days time, I will make these again.

Very Good. Made exactly as recipe instructed, and they came out excellent. We tried them at home before making a large serving for my daughter's school. We had compliments all around. Peanut allergies in school can make it difficult to find a great cookie recipe... this one is pretty and perfect. Thanks!

my new favorite cookie. I used a yellow cake mix instead of lemon flavored cake mix. the lemon extract gives it just the right amount of tang without the fake fruit loops after taste. I couldn't stop eating them. I will make them for company - a few of these with a black cup of coffee - heaven!

This is a keeper! I didn't give 5 stars because I'd still want to make those traditional recipes for cookies. But this is very good if you need to make a treat quickly and w/o any fuss.

WOW! I just finished making 6 dozen of these cookies, and they are already disappearing as they are cooling! My husband said it's the first lemon cookie he's had that actually tasted like lemon. Like a few other users, I used a package of lemonade koolaid and 1 1/2 t. of lemon extract. I doubled the recipe, and refrigerated the dough for 15 minutes, but I rolled the dough into balls about the size of a golf ball and the rolled them in the powdered sugar. I baked the on parchment paper at 350 for 10 minutes, 2 pans at a time, and came out with 6 dozen cookies exactly! THIS IS THE PERFECT LEMON COOKIE RECIPE! Thanks for sharing!!!

These were a HUGE hit with my youngest daughter (19) who is still a very picky eater! She doesn't care for many cookies or cakes but she said this recipe is a keeper! I didn't have lemon extract but did have a "plastic lemon" in the fridge. They turned out beautifully!
