This was fantastic! I was cooking for someone that does not eat meat, and the recipe was just delicious, even without the beef. I used a little less cottage cheese than it calls for (one 24 ounce tub was enough). Also, I used the "oven-ready" variety of lasagna noodles, but I'm not sure if this is necessary. This was a huge hit with my family and I am making it again tonight!

AWESOME lasagna (according to my boyfriend who's a SUPER picky eater). He said it was the best lasagna he's ever had!! And it's SUPER DUPER easy to make!! (This was my first lasagna attempt!) I added a lot more sauce to the layers because he likes sauce -- and I accidentally added too much cheese to the filling (1 cup too much) -- he said it was a bit too cheesy for him but otherwsie GREAT (he's not a super cheese lover)! Because I used so much sauce, I didn't add any water. The noodles were perfect! We made it again yesterday (still not adding extra water). This time we didn't add enough extra sauce tho for my boyfriend's liking but for a conventional lasagna, it looked perfect!!! (His Brother Loved it!!) My boyfriend said it tasted AWESOME (yet again) even tho it wasn't saucy enough for him!!! (I think this is a tough recipe to screw up)!! We added a layer of sauteed, sliced portabello mushrooms; used 1 container of cottage cheese combined with 1 egg, etc. for the filling (we didn't add any other cheese to the cheese filling); and then grated marble cheese for the top layer. He loved it!!! I can highly recommend this recipe to first time lasagna makers. (I used Ragu original spaghetti sauce, which is actually surprisingly good here. I also used garlic salt in the cottage cheese, and seasoned the beef with a bit of onion powder and garlic salt.)

This was fantastic!!! I did make the following changes, added Italian seasoning, garlic salt & powder, minced onion, & sugar to the meat sauce. I also used a 26 ounce can of spaghetti sauce & an 8 ounce can of tomato sauce. My carton of cottage cheese was only 24 ounces, but that seemed like plenty. I used 4 noodles per layer (breaking off the end of one to lay the opposite way). I also probably used more cheese on the top, as I didn't measure, I just eyeballed it. Next time, I will cut back on the water a little bit, as there was a little bit of "watery" sauce in the bottom. Everybody raved & wants me to send them the recipe.

i used to buy frozen lasagna because i thought it would be too much work to cook it. this was my first time attempting to cook lasagna and it was very easy and this recipe came out surprisingly delicious! much better than what i've been eating out of a box. i only needed half the recommended amount of cheese. i used ricotta cheese instead of cottage. i browned the beef with onion and garlic. i used oregano instead of parsley. i didn't add any water in fear of it becoming too watery and my lasagna turned out perfectly fine. one more thing, don't worry about not boiling the noodles, they will come out nice and tender.

This lasagna came out great! Like some others, I was nervous about not cooking the noodles but that was not a problem at all when it was finished. I added some red peppers, squash, onions, and mushrooms which I sauteed with garlic and layered in after the cheese.

This was delicious! The whole pan was devoured in ten minutes (but I do live in a dorm so that's normal). However I did boil the noodles, because it freaks me out not boiling noodles.

I will never slave over my old recipe again! This lasagna tops them all. My kids absolutely loved it, even the youngest who says he doesn't like lasagna. I followed the recipe, but I'm always generous with the cheese. Definitely a "keeper". Thanks!

Great recipe! After reading other reviews I made a few changes. I added fresh pressed garlic and 1 tsp Italian seasoning to meat mixture, 1/2 cottage - 1/2 ricotta cheese - a little less water cooking covered for a hour and uncovered for 10-20 min. ***Love it***

i cannot cook. but this turned out wonderfully! i didn't use cottage/ricotta cheese, as i dont like them; i just used noodles and meatsauce. was worried about using uncooked noodles, but it turned out fine. i used 2 bottles of spaghetti sauce instead of one.
