I had been making this for years. I lost my recipe and could remember the items included but not the measurements. Imagine my suprise when I got on here and dug through TONS of "fake" Key Lime Pie recipes! Trust me..this one is GOOD AS GOLD! SUPER YUMMY! Top with HOME MADE whipped cream and it is like HEAVEN ON EARTH! YUMMMMMMY!

WAY BETTER THAN STORE-BOUGHT!!!! This pie was absolutely delicious!!! With the review suggestions (4 egg yolks, 2 cans milk, 1 cup lime juice. bake @ 350 for 20-25 min) it came out PERFECT!!! I LOVE key lime pie but this was my first time trying to make it at home. I will never ever buy it in the stores again. It does come out tart (which I happen to like) so if you want it with less kick, cut back on the lime juice. I did notice that the filling was more yellow than green when I was mixing it so I added some lemon-lime kool-aid to it to get that true lime green color. This also added a little extra punch that I dont think I would have gotten with food coloring. You can kind of tweak the amount you add to your own taste and color preference. I used about 1/3 of a pack- and then used the leftover to make kool-aid with while the pie was baking!!! If you mix the lime juice, milk, and kool-aid together first you can taste and alter it before you add the eggs without worrying about eating the raw yolks. I did not add any whip cream on top until I cut and served it (If you let it sit on the pie in the fridge it will run and be a soggy mess, especially if it is store bought and not homemade whip cream) I also kept mine in the freezer instead of the fridge so that the pie would be firm (and not quite so mushy) Anyway this was incredible and ridiculously easy to make!! TRY IT!!!

I also did the 4 yolks, 2 can sweetened condensed and 1 cup of key lime juice, baked for 25 minuts, and it was unbelievably good. I'm fairly certain this is the recipe that one of the really nice restaurants in my city uses, but they put the filling in a macademia nut crust. Really great and soooooo simple.

People love me more when I make this pie! I followed others' suggestions, 4 yolks and 2 cans cond. milk. I also make my own crust and add 1/2 cup of my favorite granola to it. UNBELIEVABLE. Top with fresh sweetened whipping cream.

This is very easy, and tart! Yum! I also make the graham cracker crust from the graham cracker crust II recipe off of this site. This is my go to key lime recipe.

Very good and sooo easy! I used 4 egg yolks, one can of sweetened condensed milk, 1/2 cup of key lime juice and 6 premade mini graham cracker shells. The mix was just the right amount to fill the 6 crusts. Baked as recipe says. They came out great. Thanks!

Easy to make. Loved the creamy texture and the sweet, tart flavor. My family liked it very much. I used limes, didn't have key limes, but was still very good. perfect recipe for those who enjoy tart, sweet treats. Thanks for sharing.

I thought that this pie was good, but I think that it would've been better if I'd stuck to the exact recipe. Here are the adjustments that I made: 1 cup fresh squeezed key lime juice and 3 tablespoons of sugar. The pie came out a little too tart for my tastes, so I think that I'll stick to the original recipe next time I make it :)

I followed the recipe but also added a little bit of lime zest. It was easy to make and very very good. If I ever have to make pies for a crowd I'll be making this one!

It was good but not quite the taste I was looking for.I made it twice the first time with extra lime as some did,the second time I followed the recipe exactly. It still wasn't as good as I was hoping it would be.

My first attempt at Key Lime Pie and it was fabulous! It was a little too tart for me so I will cut back on the lime juice a little the next time I make it, but when I went to get a slice the day after I made it, it was all gone... my fiance got to it before I could!

Fabulous! I did add 2 cans Sweetened Condensed Milk for extra filling as many previously suggested. In increased the fresh-squeezed lime juice by 1/3 cup. I added 2 drops of green food coloring for the 'green' effect.

I don't know if I did something wrong, but the filling came out awful. It was very clumpy. I tried the 4 egg yolk, 2 cans milk, and 1 cup of key lime juice and it didn't bake well, and the texture was bad. My dad said it tasted okay but I will have to try again.

I thought this was good for how quick it was to fix, but I wish it had more of a lime taste and less of the sweetened condensed milk taste.

With the suggested reviewer changes (2 cans Milk, 1 cup juice, 4 egg yolks) this recipe is perfect. It took me almost an hour to bake this but that has to do with my oven. Even so it came out perfectly: I had enough to fill one pre-made pie shell plus 4 mini pie shells.

I made the recipe as stated, except I made my own crust and I used limes( key limes not available). It was very easy and fast to put together, it filled the pie crust well and my husband, who loves key lime pie, said it was very good. Will be keeping this recipe! Thanks
