Amazing recipe!! I used 4 egg yolks and 2 cans of sweetened condensed milk and my family raved about it! There wasn't a bite left in the plate!

OMG!!!! This was soooo good. I made it for my husband who loves key lime pie. I did follow some of the changes that others did and it came out perfect. I did use about 1/3c of fresh squeezed lime juice and the rest from a bottle but this was the best. I will use this time and time again.. Thanks so much.

must make adjustments recommended by previous users otherwise pie will come out too runny and will not fill up entire pie cust

Well, the version of 2 c. milk,3/4 cup lime juice and 4 yolks worked for me but I'm not sure whose recipe I'm rating since I didn't use the recipe as listed. With that said, it came out delicious! Thanks for a lovely recipe.

I made this recipe Friday night ( 11/7/08) for my family snd it was fabulous!! I will absolutely make it again! The recipe was easy and inexpensive I couldn't get key lime juice so I mixed equal amts of lemon and lime and I used a premade shortbread crust-it was smooth citrusy and rich. Better than some of the Key Lime pies that I had sampled in Fla. Thanks! :-)

Awesome & Easy!!! I took people's suggestions and used 4 eggs, 1 cup key lime juice (fresh squeezed from my sister's tree) and 2 can of evaporated milk. It was to die for. Just enough sour & sweet. I put it in a prepared deep dish graham cracker crust.

I always read other's reviews...but 95% of the time when trying a new recipe, I follow the author's directions exactly as written. And I'm so glad I did. It is absolutely perfect and delicious as written. No less or extra of anything is necessary. It's deliciously tart and has perfect texture. My Floridian husband says it tastes just like home! :-)

This pie was delicious but for some reason it was an icky mustard yellow color. Not sure what happened (I used regular eggs and everything - not the omega 3 eggs that are much darker colored). It was such an unappetizing color that no one would try it. I'll probably try this recipe one more time though, because the picture for this recipe sure looks good, wonder what happened to mine...

I am from Florida & this is the recipe I always use, keep in mind that the juice from the key limes can be different even from year to year from the same tree. I recommend putting in less juice, taste the batter & then add more juice to taste. This year I needed 8 Tbsp, the limes were not as tart.

This is for those of you who add food coloring (or other color) to this: When we honeymooned in Key West, our tour guide told us, "Key limes produce pale yellow juice. Key lime pie should be pale yellow, too. If you ever order Key Lime Pie and it's green, send it back and get something chocolate!" Something to think about as you make "authentic" Key Lime Pie! Regardless of color, I know you'll enjoy this yummy pie!!!

Fantastic!!! This is an extremely easy and great tasting pie. I have made it twice. The second time was better and I followed one of the tips given. I used 2 cans of milk (eagle brand), a full cup of keylime juice 4 eggs and increased the cook time a bit. Great pie, THANKS

I tried this recipe using Key Limes (took forever to get enough juice) and bottle lime juice. I prefer the Key Limes as it made the pie more tart, less sweet. My kids and husband like it with the bottled juice. Either way, we all agreed that it was delicious! This was a super easy recipe with fabulous results. It tasted even better the next day, but good luck finding a piece left in the fridge.

I had been making this for years. I lost my recipe and could remember the items included but not the measurements. Imagine my suprise when I got on here and dug through TONS of "fake" Key Lime Pie recipes! Trust me..this one is GOOD AS GOLD! SUPER YUMMY! Top with HOME MADE whipped cream and it is like HEAVEN ON EARTH! YUMMMMMMY!
