I followed the suggestion of people before me (4 egg yolks, 2 cans sweetened condensed milk, and 1 C lime juice) and also added some green food coloring to give the pie more of a lime look. I thought the taste was delicious, but my mom and I both thought the texture seemed fluffier than what we were used to. Overall, though, I thought it was very good.

My husband loved this but CAUTION: dont get the rind of the limes when you zest. I baked 25 min. This is what I did (like Alexis81). 2/3 cup fresh lime juice (a lot of squeezing), 5 egg yolks and 1.5-2.0 cans of sweetened condensed milk + zest of 3 limes (about 1/2 tsp.)

I read many receipes. Decided to try this one with the recommendations made by other reviewers, 4 yolks, 2 cans condensed milk and 1 cup of key lime juice. Hand squeezed all those little limes! Came out a little too tart almost with a bitter after taste. I'm going to try it again with a little less lime juice. The consistancy is right, but the bitterness is not something I enjoyed. Could have been bad limes, but I will reduce the lime juice to 1/2 or 3/4 cup next time.

Never made key lime pie before, or tasted it. My dad loves it so we made it for Fathers' Day. It was a hit. :)

I made this last night, following the recipe exactly. It was absolutely delicious and the exact taste in a Key Lime Pie that I look for.

I made 4 delicious little key lime pies in ramekins. 1 can of condensed milk, 2 egg yolks and a 1/2 cup lime juice were perfect.

We love key lime pie and this recipe makes an excellent one. It is very easy. I serve it with a little raspberry sauce drizzled over the top (seedless raspberry jelly, warmed until smooth) and whipped cream. Everyone loves it.

After eating Key Lime Pie in Key West Florida, I came home wanting to make my own. This is the best tasting and easiest to make. I make it often in the summer time and everyone loves it.

This pie was AMAZING! We agree with the other reviewers and only used 4 eggs. Everyone had to have a second serving. We even made another one to enjoy!

I am by far not an experienced cook. I am, however, a lover of Key Lime pie. I found this recipe and decided to give it a shot. I read a few of the reviews and made it using the following: Two 14oz cans of fat free condensed milk, 10" pre-made graham cracker crust, RealLime juice. I messed up and used the egg white instead of the yolk (told you I am not a cook), but surprisingly it still turned out okay. I baked it for 25 minutes like the reviewers said and it came out perfect. I chilled it overnight and had a piece for breakfast. DELICIOUS! I was a little "puffy" (which I think may have happened because of using the egg white instead of the yolk) but it was still wonderful. I will definitely make another one ... this time using the yolk like it says. I am also going to try to add just a little more lime juice, as I really like my pies very tart. All in all this is a keeper. I will be tweaking it just to see if I can get it as tart as I like ... but that is all. Thanks to all who have contributed to the adjustments. It is great.

After making the changes so many people before have recommended (2 cans condensed milk, 1 cup key lime juice, 4 egg yolks) this pie was delicious. It was the first time I've ever made key lime pie and the results were very encouraging. Because I didn't have any key lime juice on hand, I did what someone had mentioned an used half lemon and half lime juice. The color did surprise me a bit, but I suppose it is much more natural. I did end up with a bit too much filling for a 9-inch pan, but overall I will definitely make this again!

I followed the advice of another reviewer and used 4 egg yolks, 1 can condensed milk, 1/2 cup lime juice and the zest of two key limes. This made a great mixture for me, perfect amount of sweet and sour, it makes a very shallow pie so I whipped up some fresh cream and layered it on top. I also made my own graham crust, it only takes ten minutes and makes all the difference in my opinion. Delicious!

This was excellent! Big hit with everyone. The only thing I did was add 1/4 cup Splenda. It had just the right amount of tart and sweetness.
