I conducted a blind taste test between these and another "easy" recipe on here. These Freezer Pickles won, hands down. I only gave this recipe 4 stars because I needed to add some dill weed. It was simply too sweet without a little something extra. For 8 lbs of cucumbers, I would add 2 tsp dill weed. Other than that, they're terrific!

These were quite easy and delicious! My only issue was it needed more clarity with the storage time. I read elsewhere that the pickles would be just as good stored up to a year... I'll let you know! I also canned some to see how they would turn out.. Holidays will be the deciding factor :)

Never made a pickle before and now I wonder why that is! These are just delicious. Because this was a total experiment, I quartered the recipe, to save money if it was a flop, but the money for the full recipe would not have been wasted! My only two qualms are that every now and then (and only every now and then) I get a really bitter bite that I can't quite figure out. Also, the centers are a bit, less than crisp, so next time, I think I'll take a tip from a review on another recipe, and halve the cucumbers lengthwise first and scoop out the seeds then proceed to "chunk" them up. This is a really tasty recipe!

So easy and simple. Good for when you don't have enough cukes to make a large batch of pickles. Stays crispy.
