Ingredients

  • 2 (16 ounce) cans whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 Pastry for double-crust pie (9 inches)

Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine cranberry sauce, brown sugar and butter. Line pie plate with bottom pastry; add filling. Top with a lattice crust. Bake at 350 degrees F for 50-60 minutes or until the crust is lightly browned.

Footnotes

  • Editor's Note: For festively decorated pie, use a cookie cutter to cut out Christmas tree shapes from the top pastry instead of using a lattice crust. Place the dough shapes on an ungreased baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees F for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly; arrange on top of baked pie.
