I read some of the reviews before making this dish and they were helpful. I also tried to make it a half recipe as I read that it would be quite large. I used a 12 oz. bag of egg noddles, 2 cut up chicken breasts seasoned with onion, garlic, parsley, basil and oregano, 1 can of cream of chicken, 1 1/2 C. of chicken broth, 1 large Tbsp of butter and I put in a quarter cup of shredded Mexican blend cheese in the sauce while still hot. I added the same seasonings to the sauce mix before boiling as well. I also mixed about a quarter cup of breadcrumbs with another quarter cup of the same cheese (I like cheese!) that made a crunchy top.
This will make an appearance on our menu from now on! Thank you for all the helpful hints! Next time I am thinking of adding the peas or broccoli some of you mentioned!
