Green Giant® frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
cut-up cooked chicken
1 (10.75 ounce) can
condensed cream of chicken soup
Original Bisquick® mix
I made this recipe a few times because my husband loves it! Here are a few tips that I've found make the recipe better and/or easier: 1. You don't need frozen veggies. I use Veg All canned veggies. Veg All works great because it has potatoes in the can. You have to have potatoes in pot pie! 2. This recipe works equally well with cooked chicken that you dice up or shredded chicken that you can buy in a can to save time. 3. I would recommend adding some type of chicken seasoning. I always add McCormick Grill Mates Montreal Chicken seasoning, although any similar product would be fine. It adds a bit of flavor that might be missing otherwise. 4. Double the recipe and put it in a 13x9 pan if you are feeding a family.
Very easy and quick but bland. It really needs some spice or at least salt to liven it up a bit.
My family loved this dish. I added melted butter to the bisquick!
I added in frozen veggies that my family likes. I add in garlic, pepper, and onion powder to the soup mix first, stir it and then add in chicken. I use cream of chicken and cream of celery soup. Then I add in veggies. I put it in a 13x9 dish. I mix up the bisquick mix and pour it on top and put it in the oven. This is a quick meal and my husband and 4 kids love it.
This was absolutely delish! I cut the frozen vegetables to 1/2 cup and added a chopped, cooked red potato and some chopped, cooked asparagus spears. I heated the soup mixture up in a saucepan, and added a little milk and some chicken bouillon granules for a little flavor boost. I mixed in a small handful of shredded Mexican cheese to the soup mixture before dumping it in the pie plate. I didn't do anything different to the crust mixture, and it all came out perfect. My dad, sister and I loved it!
Very quick, very easy version of a traditional pot pie.
This recipe is very simple. I did make one mistake and forgot to thaw out the veggies first and it took just a little longer to cook. Next time I will make a few adjustments. I'll add a little milk to help loosen the sauce a little, maybe add some cooked onions, and maybe a little bit of poultry seasoning just to give it a little more kick.
Easy to make and my toddler ate her vegetables! Win win!
