Easy Chicken Fajita Soup Recipe Reviews - Allrecipes.com (Pg. 1)

This was one of the best soups I have ever made. I went through and read the reviews, as I always do before I make a new dish, and although the dish is probably wonderful the way it is written, if there is something that keeps coming up repeaedly, I make that change....I read to add an extra 1/2 pack of fajita seasoning and a can of dieced fire roasted green chilis...It was AMAZING!! We didnt even add any hot sauce since we have a 2 y/o who was having dinner also. We used Tostitos Artisan recipe "Toasted Southwestern Spices" chips and monterey jack cheese, and had it more like a tortilla soup and every one ate so much, their tummys were buldging out! I also doubeled the amount of soup stated so there was more broth, as my family loves the broth! Thank you for a GREAT recipe!

Best soup ever! I added 14 oz. of water while cooking, and left out the salt, pepper, and hot sauce.

I've found it sensible and easy to put together and remarkably low calories for something that fills me up so well. I followed the instructions exactly the first time but each time there after may have varied a bit...but still turns out good. It seems it is a hard thing to do incorrectly. Oh...I couldn't find pablano peppers from Mexico (Superstores Canada) so I used Cubanell (from I don't know where...but if it's Cuba then harder for the American folks to get? ) I've been making this for a couple years now from this recipe and have come back to print it out again because the orginal is getting a bit soggy and messed up. I love this soup.

DH absolutely loved this. I did add the whole box of chicken stock also (48oz) to make it more brothy and added 2 of the fajita seasoning mixes. DH likes spicy, so also added one small jalapeno. Thanks for a terrific and super easy meal. I did not saute anything. Just put everything in the stock pot and let it simmer away. Chicken breast chunks were super tender and moist. This is phase one worthy of south beach diet also. yum!

Just a bit salty and could use more beans. We also sprinkled some freshly shredded cheese on top!

This recipe was great even with my modifications. I didn't have peppers or black beans so I used: cannelinni beans (white kidney beans), diced tomates seasoned with onions and peppers, garlic and onion powder. It turned out awesome. My whole family enjoyed it.
