"This is a fast but delicious soup recipe for those who like broccoli soup but don't like the canned taste. I use light cheese and 98% fat-free soup to reduce the fat content of the soup."

1 (10 ounce) package
frozen chopped broccoli
1 (10.75 ounce) can
condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 1/4 cups
processed cheese food (eg. Velveeta)
salt and pepper to taste
This is great! I used steamed fresh broccoli, and used cheddar cheese instead of the Velveeta. I cut the broccoli small, but didn't puree it. Very quick and yummy. Great for those winter days!
Just searching for a broccoli soup recipe- I am sorry to be a party pooper but when I read a recipe that has a frozen vegetable, canned cream soup and processed cheese as main ingredients, I can only cringe. You lose absolutely no time by substituting the real things- fresh broccoli, premade chicken stock, fresh cream if you must, and real cheese. And nutritionally you are 200% better off!
Yummy! I ran the milk, soup, and broccoli through my food processor before adding the cheese, and it turned out very creamy (my hubby said it was almost like a chowder). I also used the cream of celery soup instead of cream of mushroom. Thanks for a great recipe!
I worked in a restaurant and had a recipe like this one and lost it. I searched a whole lot of recipes to find this one. It tastes as close to my missing one as it could. My recipe used fresh broccoli so that is what I used. My recipe also called for "cream of something soup". we usually used celery or asparagus,but also chicken and mushroom. The key to this is the cheese-velveeta is the only one the restaurant would use and same for me.

This is a great recipe because it is so quick and easy. I used cream of celery soup like the other reciewers suggested and loved the outcome. Creamy and delicious!
Very tasty and easy! I substituted cream of celery soup on the second or third making and was very happy with the change.
Very good and easy. I don't like to make Broccoli soup because it was too much work, but this was so easy and yummy. I doubled the recipe and sauted onions first and then added the rest. I also only used a cup of Velveeta and added a cup of shredded cheddar. Yummy! My daughter is on her second helping.
