This recipe was surprisingly good! My husband made it without a hitch - it was so good that we didn't have left-overs!

This recipe is SO good and easy to boot. I will definately make it again and again. :)Reheats very well.I have made this several times and always have better results when I have the leanest hamburger I can get at the store (92%). When I've used 81% lean it is a bit too runny/greasy for my taste. No one in my house is a mushroom or cooked onion fan, so I leave those out, but the crunchy onions (think green bean casserole) are DELISH sprinkled on top with a dollop of sour cream. Thanks for the 5 star recipe!

Another winner and I don't know why this recipe isn't five stars! You can't go wrong with this one!! Even tastes great without the mushrooms I've made this both ways!

Delicious for how easy it is! Made a few changes. Added 1 tsp minced garlic to the onion and mushrooms; used sliced sirloin steak instead of ground beef and added 1 tsp dijon mustard to the beef bouillon. Made the dish a little more flavorful and less Hamburger Helper-like.

This is a wonderful recipe when you have additional mushrooms and sour cream in the fridge. It's fast and easy and delicious served over egg noodles. My family love it.

This recipe was pretty good. I did add 3 cloves of garlic minced, a teaspoon of thyme and about 1/3 cup of red wine. It gave the dish a deeper flavor. There were no leftovers!

Excellent! I made a few substitutions because of my bare pantry (1 cup water w/beef bullion instead of canned beef broth, onion powder instead of onions) and made some changes due to taste (added 2 tsp. minced garlic to saute pan, used 1/2 of sour cream, added 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce & added 1 cup cream of mushroom soup), but it was AWESOME and my family loved it. Will try again the "right" way! Thanks for the great recipe.

I used 1-1/2 pounds of beef stew meat instead of ground beef. I also used canned mushrooms instead of fresh. I thought this recipe was pretty good. Next time I will add more black pepper and a little more salt for some extra kick.

Out of the recipes available on this site, this is one of the best. It was way easy to make and had the whole kitchen smelling like heaven. The beef was seasoned from the inside out and was plenty tender. Will be made time and time again here.

This has become a new family favorite that I encorporate into my weekly meals. This recipe definately deserves 5 stars. Another ingredient to add for a different flavor is a teaspoon or more of curry, yum!

This was ok. Not good, but not yucky, either. I made it almost exactly following the directions, except that I didn't brown the beef in butter, and I did drain the beef after browning it. I can't imagine how greasy it would be without those changes. My husband and I both found this too plain. I think we'll stick with Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I (also from this site). Thanks anyway.

This was good but I'd much rather make this with steak cut into strips.I used lean hamburger and even after draining the grease off I still found it too greasy. If your going to try this recipe use extra lean hamburger but for the price of it you might as well go with 1 and a half lbs. of steak.
