Very good recipe. It was simple and yummy. Instead of using all onions, I halved the onions and added some garlic. My family loves garlic. So simple for a quick weeknight dinner.

Made a few changes due to lack of ingredients. Used dry onion soup mixed with 2 cups of water intead of beef broth and fresh onion. Didn't have mushrooms, so left them out. Overall, however, the recipe was pretty good.

So I am NOT a fan of mushrooms. I won't touch a dish that has mushrooms in it. I never made beef stroganoff because I didn't think it would taste good if I left the mushrooms out. However, this recipe looked easy enough and thought I'd give it a try. I followed it, except for leaving out the mushrooms. I am pleased to say that it was delicious! I served it over the noodles, which I added some butter too. My husband got home a few hours after I made it & he said he re-heated well. I have plenty of leftovers for lunch today...yummy! Thanks for the great recipe...this one is a keeper for sure!

Ok, my family and I loved this. Instead of just onions, I used a frozen Mirepoix veggie mix (onion, celery and carrot), and otherwise I followed directions exactly, and it was really great! My middle son loves (and I mean LOVES) mushrooms, so anything like that will be a hit. :) Thank you!

I used the ingredients as written, but reversed the order just a bit to cut down more on prep time. I started with the meat browning, and at the same time prepped the onions and mushrooms. Removed the meat from the pan to drain, cooked the veggies, then went on from there. It was a good, warm and filling meal that was fast and easy to make, however I do agree with some other posters that it is not incredibly flavorful--if you are used to more spicey food. Adding garlic and some fresh herbs would round it out nicely. Overall, I would make this again, with just some seasoning modifications.

I added Worcestershire sauce as well as French cut green beans. I skipped the chopped onion and fresh mushrooms and in place of them, used dried onions and canned mushrooms as I was lacking the extra time needed for the fresh ingredients. It all turned out well and my family enjoyed it.

This recipe was great. The next day I added a can of tomato soup (with milk) to the leftovers and we had soup. Try it. It's really good.

This came out very tasty. The only change I made was that I added a few drops of worcestershire sauce for added flavor once I read some of the reviews stating that it was a little bland. Thanks!

Very easy to make and tasted great. I agree with a few other reviews that it was a little bland, but after I served it, I added a bit of hot sauce to my own plate and it made it even more delicious!

I lost my gramma's recipe and this was the closest thing to it. I used Moose backstrap cut thin - cook time is next to nothing - and followed the recipe but added a couple tbsp tomato paste and a touch of ketchup like my grandma used to. Perfect- thanks!

I didn't really follow the recipe but I took another reviwers advice instead and cooked an onion in canola oil, then browned 1 lb. of extra lean ground beef, added one can of consomme soup, then 1 cup of sour cream and 4 tbsp. of flour to the mixture and simmered until thick. I served this over egg noodles, and it was very yummy! thanks for the idea!

I used ground turkey and chicken broth instead of beef and the recipe turned out great! Like other users suggested, I added in cream cheese along with the sour cream and I opted to omit the wine altogether. I will definately use this recipe again and again!

This was very simple and quick to make, but it was bland. I added some Worcestershire sauce. It needs some color, so maybe next time I will add peas and some fresh parsley to the beef. This recipe is great for kids. You could even add cheese - kids love cheese.

I made this just as the recipe is written and found it quite bland. I added tyme and Worcestershire and that helped quite a bit. I used the leanest ground beef I could buy since the recipe calls for it being browned in butter and not drained. Still, I thought it was very greasy and missing "something". I ate it, but I think I'll try other stroganoff recipes before revisiting this one.
