This is a great cobbler recipe; very easy! I used peaches, strawberries and blueberries (1 cup each) - came out fantastic - didn't need any extra (ice cream/whipped cream), but if added would have been just as good. Thank you Pam Anderson!

The ratio's do seem a little off on this compared to one my mother gave me. It's for a 9 x 13 but it uses 1 stick butter; 2 cups flour; 2 cups sugar; 4 tsp. baking powder; 1 quart of fruit (if using canned-be sure and drain well). Anyway, the procedure is the same as this recipe for baking. We have gotten compliments and requests for the recipe dozens of times. It has turned out well for me every single time

I tried this with fresh apricots and blackberries. the bottom and middle didn't set or cook through, though the corners were a dark brown. Tasted ok. I will try this again before I give up on it, but with different, or less fruit.

Wow, best and easiest cobbler ever....I used three cups of fruit in a deep dish pie plate. Two cups sliced strawberries, 1 cup raspberries. I followed reviewers' suggestions of adding melted butter to batter after spreading it around the plate. I also used 2 T butter and 2 T smart balance. Plus I put about 1 t vanilla in batter and 1/4 t nutmeg....On top I sprinkled 1 T of sugar crystals which melted nicely

I made the recipe exactly as it said. I used thawed blueberries for the fruit. The fruit all sunk to the bottom, and it wasn't quite as tasty as I thought it would be. Still decent though.

I have made this recipe multiple times with a variety of different fruits including peaches, blueberries, and blackberries. It is only OK. I wouldn't rave about it and I'm not sure why it's rated so highly except that maybe it's extremely easy to make. I have had much better cobblers. This turns out very cake like and fairly dry. If you pull it out early, it's way too mushy.. so you can't really combat the dryness unless you're altering the recipe.
